AW's campaign was exceptional and the best of the series outside MW and MW2. The mp was serviceable and very good for the devs first multiplayer outing.
Nah its really just an above average content filled game this pretty run of the mill by cod standards. I much prefer Advanced Warfare's campaign and this game has nothing on Black Ops 2 in terms of campaign and multiplayer. At least Zombies is better then BO2.
I would disagree. I think Batman AC is better then Asylum. It has a more satisfying plot and ending. AK isn't as good as the other but by a small margin. It's still an outside GOTY contender.
The acting, tone, treatment of batman's character (he smiles when killing in both movies) and villains are all a mess. You can't argue that Dan Devito's Penguin is good, and I love Devito normally.
I can't think of why many people would actually want this. I mean I'd actually take Rocksteady's Batman and it's stories over both of Burton's movies. To me the plots in those games are actually better then /burton's movies and I'm not one to claim video games have better stories then there film counterparts.
I actually think this game was superior to Far Cry 3 despite it's similarities. Far Cry 3 fell off half way through due to one of the villains death while Far Cry 4 I thought maintained it's momentum all the way through.
True but a niche survival horror game is a lot different then a time bending action adventure game when it comes to marketability and the casual buy.
I wouldn't go that far as there are some recent games in the genre that were better (Uncharted 2, Maybe Uncharted 3, Dead Space 2, and RE4. But ROTR is for sure up there with these gems and is easily a full on Game of the Year Contender.
After playing both Rise of the Tomb Raider and Fallout 4 extensively, to my surprise I think Rise of the Tomb Raider is actually the better game imo. This is no slight against Fallout 4 it's a very good game, maybe even great. But Tomb Raider accomplishes absolutely everything it sets out to do with polish and confidence. The gameplay is arguably the best in the adventure genre, the graphics and effects are stunning too. It's biggest accomplishment though is that it still feels like a...
His Halo 5 review was one of the worst i've seen in a long time. He barley went into how pristine the multiplayer is and he focused on his disappointments with the campaign and complaining about aspects that weren't part of the game rather then aspects actually in the game. It was almost how not to do a big game review.
The story had istsproblems but Halo 5's mission and level design in the campaign were top notch for the series.
It's pretty ridiculous that Fallout fans refuse to believe that some people don't think this game lives up to the hype. I can't speak for myself because I don't own the game yet but it's no secret that the praise for this game hasn't been as universal and resounding as Fallout 3.
Can't leave out Arkham Knight, Halo 5, and Rise of the Tomb Raider too. All three are amazing games that deserve recognition along with MGSV and the big RPGs.
I think the top 5 contenders would probably be MGSV, Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Batman Arkham Knight, and Fallout 4 with ROTR and Halo 5 being outside contenders as well.
Yeah ok.... Horizon is from Gorilla one of the most under achieving devs there is in the industry. ROTR is a proven great game from gamers and critics at this point.
Yes they are for the most part. Big franchises tend to get a break with problems that hinder the experiences especially Bethesda games. The game is awesome but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be called out for its flaws. We're also looking at you MGSV (another amazing game that still got a free pass).
Even if it was you wouldn't admit it lol.
Actually a pretty great list. Good to see MW2 and COD 4 on top as they should be. My only gripe being that Black Ops 2 should be closer to the top 5.
I think Batman Arkham Knight, Halo 5, and possibly ROTR deserve recognition as outside contenders.
I'm not the biggest fan of Black Ops 3 myself. The campaign just didn't feel like the militarized globe trotting adventures of the early MW and BO series and the story wasn't all that enthralling or interesting. The multiplayer is fine and feels like a technological evolution of Black ops 2 but I can't help but feel that the gameplay was more satisfying without the new gameplay additions. BO2 remains Treyarchs best game imo. With Black Ops being the best campaign of the series...
