OpenGL can do stuff like that easy. Just gotta give it time to get out there and for developers to consider it a viable solution. With Chrome and FireFox support and IE usage sinking like a rock, it's looking pretty good.

Gotta find a educated medium.

Like the current one with Metro Controller version on 360? (Which sucks! Although, I think it's my HATE for the advertisements that makes me so harsh with it. That sour taste in my mouth still hasn't passed for sure.)

But it's a phone UI that needs to stay on phones. Ubuntu tried the thing with Unity and got owned so hard by it's user base they put GNOME back in. Hopefully that happens with Win8 and they take Metro out with that "Windows Runtime" app...

Well that's different, PC content is usually focused solely on multiplayer and has the best company doing it with Valve and Steam. Would you trust Sony, Microsoft, or EA the same way you do steam? Do you think they'd also offer as good of deals as Steam? No chance. Valve does it right, but I don't believe anybody else will.

I wonder where they find people that will agree not to own any physical product. Certainly not me.

Can we get "of recent memory" added to the title? The SNES RPG's completely destroy these.

NES Earthbound (Unreleased, but it still exists) has an amazing start, making you feel so sad for the characters and a sense of mission during the whole game. Not much can top what it does to you listening to the sad story of those people and how their lives were changed. Especially not when you complete the game and everything comes together and (SPOILER) they were *techn...

Like it's insurance for the company they're buying, but destined for failure when they figure out people will not give up actually being able to own a physical product instead of renting something until they take it away from you.

Rock band? Get your games right, you mean guitar hero they ran into the ground. If you're going to correct people, correct them and be correct at the same time.

Mine total about $120 dollars worth. But the catch is I bought about 50 games for my NES I didn't have that I came across. Plus a gamecube with animal crossing and disk player for $10. Why spend $60 on new games when the quantity with quality of older is a better deal? I sink about 20 hours a week into 360, a ton more than any other system. But it's the one I'm most stingy with my money.

Doesn't matter how many support it right now, all programmers should be programming games to dynamically change UI if it's available or not. Sure, only a few games use it now, but maybe they use it because it's the only option to get the best controls and digital buttons don't cut it? Besides, a game using a add on they have to go and find separately is a pretty big deal IMO. If there was a way around it, the company would have taken it rather than risk their sales on forcing ...

Love Android and think it has lots of potential, but no portable platform besides dedicated portables will ever really be for gaming. Maybe casual games, never real games.

Chrome will Crash? Apparently you've never heard the horror stories of FireFox memory leaks that will take down your whole system. Chrome runs tabs in about 100MB chunks each on my 4GB RAM x64 Win7 computer. Same ammount when running Ubuntu too. But when you run it on a computer with low RAM available the usage shrinks down to just a few MB per page. It only take 100MB RAM for speed, not necessity, and it lets it go when the OS starts taking chunks for other programs. One way Sony can wor...

He is right, Opera on Wii beats the crap out of the PS3's browser, it has 10x better script execution and rendering at minimum. Until, that is, Sony adopts Chrome as its browser. Then it's over and there won't be any "better browser" controversy as nothing will be better...for a while.

Maybe if they weren't wasting TONS of time on 3D engines, textures, and environment they could make ONE RPG worth playing. SNES has 10x the RPG gaming goodness new platforms do.

I wish ALL big companies would just say screw 3D and go back to a great story RPG game with amazing SNES/Genny-like graphics, a solid story, and then lastly sound and controls. That'd be such an improvement by it's self compared to what crap RPG's today are. And those games could also be developed and sold for cheaper than usual. Well, I can wish. :[
