That's a load of complete shit. You purchase the devkits to use and they don't have anything to stop you from selling them except for (MAYBE) it will be in your contract to publish games you are required to keep all resources for development you purchase.
But what should I know about this, I only develop games and know 2 people who do so for a living on current gen systems. I guess they are wrong too.
No, once the company buys the dev kits, Microsoft can't say what to do with them if they don't care about the license. You have to remember if a game studio dies, they don't need their dev kits and don't care about the license because they're defunct. So it makes sense they they COULD pop up. But I do agree it looks just like a PC and also think it's a fake auction, but saying it's impossible a dev kit can't pop up is stupid though.
Retarted is when you take the poptart out of the toaster early and have to put it back in in past tense. Retarded is the correct synonym of stupid you were looking for.
Or you can download Ubuntu 10.04/11.04/12.04 or Linux Mint 13 for free and have a OS that is free, 100x more customizeable, faster, lighter, loaded with free software, years of updated and free software updates, and is just all around better. For the Windows software you NEED you can run most of it in WINE. For everything else, alternatives open, use, and are able to save as Windows formats or their better respectable formats. LibreOffice, for example, is in a nutshell a full fledged and free...
So why did they build OS's that basically only hog more GPU and about the same CPU for more fancy screens? Shouldn't they be making OS's that offer minimal features to give the most in RAM, GPU, and CPU to the game to run better? Not only do you NEED Dx9 and over features to run Windows 7 (and that mess of an OS Vista), they now want to run Metro over top of that and waste even more CPU/GPU? Yeah, right.
Whatever you say Microsoft.
I only read the part above this comments section, but the stupidity in it assures I won't read the rest. It's gonna kill the handheld industry? In what universe? You NEED physical buttons built in to the system and standard so developers can use them and make their games conform to the device. No tablet offers that.
Plus, for the price of a high end gaming PC for playing games for years, or two (3DS/Vitas) that you can go on the run and play with. Would you spend that...
Hopefully! Can't wait, will be one of the best games of the year in sound, game play, and graphics. [Because design matters too]
Removal of a feature is just stupid game design. You offer options so everyone is happy, just leave it in. Bad decision. Stupid decision even.
Good, the "super" game was nowhere near as good as the first two. It was for little kids while the real Paper Mario is for everyone.
Your camouflage sucks.
I'm stupid, yet you think think I'm saying Generation 8 because of M$/Xbox? You're the stupid guy here. I'm saying it because the next wave of consoles.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
If you don't know the basics of how to generalize consoles and power to generations, you need to learn some more before you can say I'm stupid.
I dunno if you missed it but this is on the topic of next gen, generation 8. Not generation 7.5.
It doesn't matter if they play it as long as they know it's not how you act in real life and is fake.
Security? No, they run Steam, they don't need "security." One of the final things they're probably waiting for is for steam and the source engine to release on Linux.
Doees that mean it's not possible to get it on there? No. It's still a fact it had it on it.
PS3 had Ubuntu on it years ago.
It doesn't make sense though. How can you have a real cart, but the need to make a forged label too of games handled so rarely? That is completely bogus. Unless they looked that far into the future they decided they needed to also fake the label...but that's hard because paper quality of new labels is not good at all.
Neo Geo #1 for sure now that you mention it. The system was (video+sound) so much ahead of it's time. And in just raw power over all in every subsystem. I mean, you PAYED for it nicely, especially with games costing hundreds of dollars when it was new and the system being expensive as hell too. But, it was easily the best 2D console overall no doubt. Minus the SNES had crazy video processing too, but it can't match the power or sounds or DMA speed of the Neo Geo.
Maybe it's because they have no funding or publisher most of the time and they need it?
Who would donate to project that would be backed by millions of dollars already? Not me!
It makes more sense to pick up a $100 used PSP and put a Neo Geo emulator on it. And then every other 2D system. $200 is TOO MUCH, period.
