I dunno, I know the dude working on Retro City Rampage and he says that M$ says exclusivity or you won't be able to release it on the XBLA at all and you can hit the road. It may go like limbo and be released way later, but you just don't know this stuff until the companies say. :/
And I'm guessing the PS3 browser doesn't support Java then?
And lastly, I wouldn't say Notch has a development team on it for consoles, I just think it went to ...
That'd be nice, I wish Xbox games actually used keyboard and mouse support from their USB ports. Damn, what are they there for?!?!
But I love the block graphics. I'm a retro gamers though. But they just work! A non-square creeper/sheep/skeleton just isn't right. Although if you make it an option to edit your own skins with some crap paint program would be tedious but would work. Although maybe an option to just select the block/upgraded texture would suffice. :) S...
Cool. I wonder how different it will be though. Will they ditch the block graphics? Will the same mobs be in there? Etc. Can't wait for more to be said about the console version.
C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER! Good job!
One game developer working on one series is better then Two working on one taking it two whole different directions and pooping on each other. You're logic needs analyzed.
Yep. While they did add other new stuff (And we can't complain they didn't pull a Microsoft with Halo: Reach and only have about 6 maps and DLC the rest that should have been there on release) the engine just needs more added each game now, it's time to move on. It's just not enough to justify the price anymore with each tiny revision of each game. MW2 was it for me, the last one I bought myself. Now with Blops, seems like most gamers are now seeing the light finally.

Activision: Releasing $60 Call of Duty 4 DLC since 2008!
This. I played the Sonic 4 demo and the animation and controls and the whole game was just mediocre at best. I'll stick to my Genesis or my Genesis Nomad for Sonic's. Sonic 1-3 at by far better than this crap. And they cost the same for all 3 carts!
Gameplay doesn't get old, but game engines do. LOOK AT BATTLEFIELD 3. Same core gameplay from 1942, BF2, 2142, and even 1943. But you know what? The changes, different engines, added features [Not modes like spec ops, zombies, or even killstreaks] make the game and make it fun, even if the core gameplay stays exactly the same. For it to be working for DICE and not for Activision and their developers, you know somebody is doing something better. You don't see people threatening to not ...
Because with one of those, we've played it 5 games before and it's not getting any better and the other is new and a better experience overall in every section, unless you want kill streaks to play instead, then COD is for you.
You sheep amuse me. :)
If anything, you'd just download a patch that holds the content that the disc cant. Which won't happen. If dice can make a game engine that good, I'm sure they have some quality codecs made too.
Once a wise man said: "not trolling" doesn't negate the trolling.
You're missing the fact that youtube compresses at 30FPS and that's pretty much all they do, besides crap encode it. But when they uploaded the PC gameplay, with HD, it doesn't half arse it. It's the real thing, should look very close to what you saw on youtube.
If it isn't broken, don't break it. Thank god, I wish other companies would do the same. ;D
And also, to follow up, I'd take gameplay. Most NES homebrew is better than stuff made today:

Great job, PC gamers! Keeping indie alive somehow, that's awesome.
I love retro games. I'll take retro games any modern stuff that just nickles and dimes ya for the full game. My avatar is my NES port of Kaboom!, which even for being NES in graphics, looks sweet still.
And if you've ever played the NES game Crystalis, you'll realize that even on a NES, you can still get attached to players in a game, even without the highest resolution of graphics or anything. Crystalis is the best RPG ever made, that doesn't have a true sque...
1-2 games per month? Hah, I but games nearly once, sometimes twice a year. But yeah, it's comparible at launch, but we're talking 5+ years after launch, they're super cheap now. And yeah, steam gives good deals, but you'll be hell bent on getting someone like me to not buy physical copies over steams cheaper price. I'd buy a $40 disk before I buy a $25 download. Sorry, I just don't believe in the cloud, or trust in companies.
And it is a way overblown ...
Good attempt at SNES's Mode 7 in the beginning but that is far from realistic. And SNES is 16-bit, NES can't scale sprites with hardware at all. But good video, nice RPG engine it seems and pretty SNES-esq graphics.
Whoever made this article can't tell the difference between 8 and 16 bit system differences.....
