Let's not forget Universal. Those exclusives also hold up some heat against BD (although not enough to garner my own interest).
Japan will be more of a market with stuff like Lost Odyssey for 360 and White Knight Story for PS3.
But seeing how FolkSoul (so far at least) and Trusty Bell haven't done remarkably well, I don't know just how pushed Japan is about non-Nintendo consoles at this point.
I wouldn't say so. $300 for some extra content + Universal releases isn't really worth it, especially if you're not a supporter of HD DVD anyway.
I'd rather go a little farther out with that amount and buy myself a 360ELITE. Not too pushed about HD DVD.
Fanboy bickering = lame.
"it must suck for fanboys like you"
And what does that make you? =) IRONY MUCH.
@below: Good if he realizes he's a fanboy, but then he can't really use that as an insult. It's almost an insult to himself.
"Because alot of PS3 fans being upset that Capcom didn't keep this game exclusive to the PS3 they probably wont buy it."
I think doing this is stupid. No point missing out on a good game if it loses exclusivity (unless they seriously butcher it).
Unfortunately this is probably true and some likely won't buy it because of this, but I don't think it'll effect sales that much.
I agree with the bottom statement. =)
I don't understand Japan, they all buy the Wii. My question is, what are they playing all day? Wii sports?
And they must have at least 5 or 6 DS Lite's each household by now.
@virus: I'm pretty sure he was mocking the ps3. unless you were referring to that. edit: nevermind, read your response wrongly.
I wouldn't say "no game" will, but it'd definitely be a massive blow since it seems like they're putting everything into this game. With that knowledge, if it were to flop, people would get a serious "WTF" impression on just how far you can get with the PS3. I'm of course hoping this isn't the case.
Well it'll all unfold in a matter of a week...
This game is freakin' bloody. I remember playing II on Xbox, you can cleanly pick off parts of the enemy's face. Good stuff.
Heh, unfortunately I have to agree as well. I guess we'll wait and see what other developers decide to do.
I wouldn't get annoyed if some developers decided to do this, I just hate it when focus is shifted from lead to co-development and game features become compromised, for both consoles.
LOL! Then again, what is considered abysmal sales here is probably amazing for Japan.
"Lasts only as long as it takes you to realize your error, navigate to the Wii's data management menu and confirm deletion."
My best guess is that it'll do better than your average FPS simply due to the general popularity of the game amongst 360 owners worldwide.
I think saying "conquer" is going a little way too far, though.
Virus is right, in this case the upscaler is an expensive but fairly decent one. Although it doesn't do much for the Wii.
I'd like to see a new King of Fighters/Street Fighter game hit the consoles.
Well some are probably also like that, I myself am an extra feature whore, and generally I try to pick up the most loaded edition of something I can find, and go through all the extras (unless I find them particularly lame).
@1: DMC2 may've been a flop, but I think DMC3 sure as hell made up for it.
Seeing as the game is on 360 and PS3 I believe this number is very possible.
Agreed!
This could mildly stir things up.
Yeah Live is a lot better right now for demos, still I hope the PSN can catch up eventually a little at least. Oh, a disagree. Sorry, but even as a PS3 owner, Live>PSN *at this point in time*
Hm...always been a little skeptical about picking up games that appear on everything + last gen.
I hope the 360/PS3 versions have something more to offer than the PS2 version.
