Actually there are quite a few Japanese gamers that like FPSes, and Halo 3 was on the Famitsu most wanted list (though not remarkably high).

This game is going to be amazing. Screw the ESRB, M or not, now that it is coming soon it's going to be pretty damn good times for 360 owners.

I don't see your point. If I want to be able to watch a movie in my choice of on a Blu-ray player or a DVD player, it only makes the disc more useful. Then, I can use it on my portable DVD player, my laptop, PC, if I bring it to someone else's house -- generally anywhere I don't have my PS3.

Anyway, yeah, MS has a lot to show, and I think Sony has a lot to bring to the table if they wish to compete (and yeah it'll probably be KZ2).
The battle should be interesting to see. Hell, even Nintendo could get some spotlight if they throw together some MP3/SSBB/SMG footage.
Yup, Lost Odyssey has potential to help sales further than what Trusty Bell did. RPGs seem to have the biggest impact there for home consoles. Surprised FolksSoul didn't help PS3 much though.

I know what you're saying but, as far as Japanese interest goes, I'm putting my money on MGS and FF rather than those other games. Those games will likely fare better in Europe and North America.

And Japan isn't "Sony's territory," it's shared with Nintendo, and right now Japan is happy with their Wii and DS, and it'll probably stay that way until some AAA games come on PS3, which might not be soon, depending on when SE and Konami release their big hitters.

KZ, if it is good, could help in North America/Europe but I wouldn't think it'd interest too many Japanese buyers. White Knight, if it is good, could help though.
Looks like it could be a good Wii game. Of course, I'm counting on SCIV being better, and I don't doubt it will be.
Which could be bad for Japanese SE loyalists waiting for FF before making a purchase decision. Either way I'm looking forward to 13 and Versus, I just hope one comes out earlier rather than later next year.

I think MGS4 and FFXIII/Versus will be the biggest uppings, and while MGS4 should be here late this year or early next year, who knows when FF will arrive...
