i dont really feel that this is a problem, gta has sold millions and millions of copies, if you added all the used copies on the shelves i doubt itd add up to more than like, 10k. but hey i could be wrong.
the problem, in my opinion, is that the gta4 craze has died long ago. no one wants to play gta anymore, people are over and done with it, and probably arent going to want to shell out money to go back to it. i think dlc should be released waaay sooner, like maybe 2-3 months ...
lol wiimote 2.0
it does look very accurate, but if it ever gets implemented into a console environment id hope that they make it sleeker than the damn wiimote. that sounds stupid, but i hate the wiimote, and i wouldnt be caught dead holding 2 wiimotes like a tommygun, no matter how accurate it is. wiimotes are just too uncomfortable and god-ugly, and i feel like an idiot holding them in positions that mock the real world. have you every played a shooter on wii? man, id rather...
i am a liberal, but even if i wasnt
id hope that people would have enough common sense and decency to realize when someone is being racist.
one does not have to be a liberal in order to discern racism. i hope conservatives and liberals alike will stop condoning racism.
@4.3
disagreed, -bubbles, and reported for being offensive to asians. get your head out of your ass, you biggot.
just my own little rant about the sixaxis...which i just realized the last post is a palindrome
the implementation for most games sucks. its almost always easier to just turn it off and use the sticks than to actually try and use the motion controls. i find it especially irritating because it does not sense the degree of tilt from left to right, seems more like a "on/off" switch to me, which i find hard to manage.
recently i have been using it for socom, ...
this isnt a ms sanctioned product, is it?
i doubt that ms would allow for "turbo buttons". if that is the case, then what is the point in adding tilt sensors when there arent going to be any games that support it on 360? i mean, sixaxis is rarely implemented well, and that IS sanctioned by sony. what developers are going to add in motion controls to a 360 game just because a 3rd party has released a controller with tilt sensors.
i guess its "cool&qu...
no no dont get me wrong, i do agree with you
but im thinking on a broader scale, say, something along the fallout3 lines, where its just one enormous map, with smaller "dungeons."
i only say that ff is more linear and not open world, because it comprises of many smaller maps, meaning that it easier to fit onto one disk. also, story progression often allows for the closing of different towns/maps in ff games.
but we do agree that as the games g...
home is actually a lot smaller than i thought itd be.
but nonetheless its still pretty impressive. ive never been on the home bandwagon, but i can definitely see how this could shape up to be a very impressive and useful application. on top of that, i think that the space that sony is reserving for advertisements is borderline ingenious, hopefully it will work out a lot better than their current marketing tactics. lol.
well,
although ff12 was a step up, id still say that it was pretty linear compared to "real" open world games like gta and fallout(oblivion). it still has load times in between different maps and whatnot so...yeh.
but i agree, like i said before, when games with larger open world come about, how is xbox going to handle? xbox720, methinks.
once again,
disagree, -bubbles, and report for being offensive to the homosexual community.
really man, lets try and be progressive, not homophobes. pp needs to grow up, or at least not being a f'ing biggot.
well,
i personally dont think that multi-disk games are going to deterring 360 owners from buying it on 360. it honestly doesnt matter to me.
but i totally disagree with your logic, saberedge. sales do nothing to prove that people dont care about multi-disk games. a whole lot of people have only a 360, so they will buy it on the 360. a whole lot of people only have a ps3, so they will but it on the ps3. the only way you even remotely start to try and prove it is...
totally agreed.
although, i really dont think that switching disks in a linear game like ff will be a big deal. its going to be irritating for the xbox owners, but really not a gamebreaker like all the ps fans here would like the xbox fans to believe. however
the real deal is down the road a year or two, when developers are going to start to make huge open world games, its going to be near impossible to sqeeze whole worlds onto one dvd, and multiple dvds arent goin...
saber edge is an idiot.
that being said, i doubt that the 360 version is going to cost more, highly highly doubt it. those companies get dvds for pennies, they are not worried about multi disk games. plus, by that logic, every ps3 game should cost more than the 360 counterparts, because blank blurays cost more than blank dvds. but then again, they probably only cost a few pennies more.
i disagree that the 360s controller is the most ergonomical. yes, it is better than the ds3, in that its fits into the groove of your hands, but definitely not "the best". the gamecube wavebird melted in gamers hands like butter. really, those things were the best. 360 is not far behind though.
that being said, i think xbox gamers are holding the ds3 wrong. they are tyring to rest the arms of the ds3 into the grooves of their hands, as if it were an xbox controller...
i stand by my original statements.
i took a second look at my post and i see no evidence of fanboyism, other than what i directed at etownone, which was a fanboyistic response to his obvious display of fanboyism. to deal with fanboys in a fanboy manner i see not as my own fanboyism, but rather, "speaking in a way that they understand."
other than that you may have mistaken my analysis of the value of killzone2 as fanboyism, and i assure you, it definitely ...
lol you seriously think that gta4 dlc is going to be a better value than kz2? i mean, its my guess, but the dlc is probably going to be ~$20 range, which means that it needs to have approx. 1/3 the value of kz2, and that is taking into account not only the seemingly epic single player campaign, but also the replay value from multiplayer, which, if it follows in call of duty 4's footsteps, is going to add a LOT of time, in some instances, hundreds of hours of replay value. trying to claim th...
ho ho ho
no hits for you, thegamereviews.com.
well...
i only own a ps3, and i would give the edge to the xbox controller. the biggest distinction between the two is how the xbox controller is large enough so that it fits in the groove of your hands, and the ds3 does not. the placement of the left stick is also a little bit more comfortable, and i do like how the stick is concave, not convex. the triggers feel slightly better for shooters, too.
the fact that the xbox controller's arms being large enough so you...
HO HO HO
that was hilarious.
wow that is a complete falsity.
firstly the ps3 consumes BARELY more power than the xbox, and everyone is making all this hoopla about how the ps3 consumes so much power when its left on folding. that is stupid. if you left your xbox on all day itd consume JUST as much power, and at least if your folding you are helping cure cancer, or some other higher cause.
now granted, not very many people leave their xbox on all day, for obvious reasons... the heating issue of...
