Sort of. Playtonic also hired a bunch of the same people that made that game, including getting the original composer for Banjo and Kazooie to create the soundtrack. They could of advertised as anything as long as they included that little bit of information. They chose to make a game that behaved so much like a N64 3d platformer that to most people who actually LIVED through that area, wasn't that great to begin with.
What Playtonic doesn't quite grasp is the sad ...
I was just going to say the same thing. I get that it will most likely look even better the closer to release, but they chose a weirdly glitchy climbing animation as part of a 10-second teaser.

"All women are B-cups". That wasn't obvious enough that he was being facetious?
And also...There are still people who use /S for sarcasm?
I thought that was killed off because it made the comment look idiotic.
It's the equivalent to Borat saying "NOT" after saying something serious.
Since you are all about Xbox and the inherent power it possesses, can you explain to me what exactly happened with Crackdown 3 with their "cloud-enhanced" destruction?
wow! looks absolutely stunning!
I think it looks quirky, absurd and utterly adorable.
But damn. 150 is not cheap for something that looks this...gimmicky.
Though, some huge names behind it, so...We'll see.
And that is certainly great. That's how it should be. Don't be sheep, people.
If the game looks interesting to you, always understand that these are opinions.
And sometimes, many, MANY people get it wrong.
I can't tell you how much fun I've had with (admittedly) imperfect games that got 6s an 7s, only to relish in the core experience and play them over and over again.

"narsisitic" attention?
illegitimate?
Jesus, people. I swear, I leave N4G for a year, and suddenly it's torches and pitchforks for entire websites, calling into question their integrity because you yourself don't agree with THEIR opinion. It's all subjective.
If you like it, so be it.
But you literally described basically every single website on the internet.
Eonjay, Isn't that what critics do with TV shows though? as each episode goes by? They have to access the individual episode on its own merits, while also speaking on how the "flow" of the show, and the larger plots and threads of the show as a whole. People lose interest rather quickly if things don't pick up or if subplots feel rather inconsequential.
"I know Jerry has kids, a wife, and other obligations and can't be here tonight, Mr. Boss, but I, on the other hand, will be here every night, at your beck and call, with grapes and foot massages at the top of every hour until our bestest game gets finished."
He's not "babbling" about anything. He is simply referring to the gradual diminishment of "exclusives" in the games industry. As more people throw their hat into the ring, and GAAS and other features continue to bloom, more developers and publishers are looking at casting as wide a net as possible, not relegating itself to any one particular platform. There are exceptions, of course, but you need only look at how fierce the "console wars" were in the past, wi...
@ChristopherJack
Because everyone on N4G is insanely sensitive and overly defensive of anything resembling defamation of unearned praise.
judging by your earlier comments, I'm not surprised.
I have a PS4, and this game, just something about this game, doesn't sit well with me. I rented it at a RedBox (perhaps one of the absolute best reasons to own a console is that used/rentals is still an option) and it pains me to say that while the game isn't horrendous by any stretch of the imagination, it leaves so much to be desired.
Visually, it's quite impressive, the hordes look ...
Gamestop, gamestop, gamestop....
You should of been doing this Day 1.
It's not like other companies weren't doing this before.
Hell, my favorite game store of the day was EB Games, and their trade in values was exponentially better than Gamestop. Gamestop was known as the store that you could literally give away your entire game collection to get 100 bucks off a new console.
Also, this line, "Trades subject to manager approval"...
Well, I don't what else "content" could mean. Gamers buy a gaming console for games. I know Microsoft wanted to position the Xbox One has a multimedia hub (the ability to connect it to a cable box to get tv on it and so on) but that simply isn't what most are clamoring for.
I bought a PS2 because, at the time, it was marginally more expensive than a half-decent DVD player, so I felt like it only made sense. Microsoft is pushing all of it's streaming s...
That wouldn't be good for anyone.
Competition is good for everyone.
Though I am a PlayStation convert this gen, I rode hard for Microsoft last gen and was a massive fan of their 360 (along with having a PS3 for Uncharted and God of War and many others....I'm not crazy to miss out on those)
so Microsoft was correct in making that assumption that three big titles can carry them.
When Halo was being made by Bungie, and Gears was being made by Epic, They were unstoppable.
But that was also back when they had Xbox Live Arc...
There is healthy skepticism to be had. For me, It's a tad more nuanced than just my internet in overpopulated Los Angeles being atrocious. It has more to do with the fact that while I like the prospect of being able to play any game anywhere, I am terrified by the implications and the subsequent precedent it will set for developers/publishers to push GAAS like functionality down everyone's throats.
I don't like this recurring idea that I don't even have acc...
I feel really out of the loop, what's up with all this animosity towards the Epic store? Could someone explain this to me?
