I mean, it looks identical to XIV visually, and the Mothercrystal is a thing / character in XIV, as are Eikons. Also, it seems to do politics like XIV does - very broad-brush, more focused on the aesthetics and the stilted language. Ivalice gets a bit more in the weeds with its politics. Also, games like XII and its sequel have a highly futuristic setting.
It's not unacceptable to depict a hate crime. What's unacceptable is depicting hate crimes as if they are a good thing (which is also not the same as depicting them as good through the eyes of / in the mind of a bad character).
"Calling for an end to harassment" - he and others are treating this as though a normal person is responsible. This kind of harassment isn't normal - normal people don't do this kind of thing. It's a mental health issue way before it is a harassment issue. Almost none of the people to whom he is saying this are harassers of the kind he encountered, so it seems silly and pointless to ask them all to end the harassment. He'd be wiser to use his platform to raise awaren...
She told lies, and then promoted some pro-life bs, but regardless of how bad she is, none of this changes the fact that non-big-name voice actors aren't paid properly. Even the amount she was actually offered was still peanuts.
I have to agree. There's something just so tedious about this footage. I think I have open world fatigue. It just looked like a bit of a chore to play.
Eh, it was intriguing when it was first revealed, but now it kind of looks like a fairly bare-bones open-world game. The graphics look as though they got downgraded slightly as well. They really dropped the ball with the script and voice-acting, and the music sounds really generic and forgettable. There's no way I'd ever pay the amount they're asking for this.
Don't be scabs. Don't play this game. I know a new Skate game is tempting, but ignore this one, and stick to Skater XL and Session until they make a proper one.
Why can't they just release a single player game with an online mode? Now when this game inevitably ends its service, it'll mean no more new Skate - a game which people have been waiting for for years. At least with an online mode, people would still have a single player game to enjoy when the online servers were shut down.
What Yoshida is saying is that the game's story spans an entire world / planet, and to make a detailed open-world that size would take too long.
Think of almost any open-world game - they're usually just a city, or a continent, not a whole world, and even then, they are scaled down significantly. Final Fantasy XV was a single continent too, and as big as it was, it was scaled down (plus lots of invisible walls and empty space).
They could make t...
I really hope they release it on PC at the same time. I waited almost 2 years to play Remake. I mean, I'm not owed anything, but you'd think it'd be in SE's best interest to do what the fans want.
I'm only realising now that they are removing Liberations HD, which is the console version of the original PS Vita game. Liberation Remastered, which comes with AC3 Remastered, can still be played if you own it. So, that's not AS bad as just making Liberations in any form inaccessible, but still. It's insane that they can take back the game they gave to you, but you can't take back the money you gave to them in turn. This really shouldn't be legal. Either they shouldn'...
If this starts becoming a thing, then people need to be refunded. These aren't GaaS games.
Then again, I'll bet there's some clause somewhere saying something like "x reserve the right to make this digital product unavailable at any time."
It hardly looks boring. It looks really impressive and pretty fun. I think the voice work / script is what people are split over.
I also don't feel like people responded apathetically to the trailers. A lot of the comments I've seen are variations of, "this looks like the first truly next-gen game".
My worry is the writing - the lead writer is really hacky. Also, the main character seems kind of irritating.
I don't think there's any need to ask. They're almost definitely planning on it. The SMT3 remaster has been on Steam for a good while now.
Now this looks awesome. I'm gonna keep my eye on this one. Real interested to see what the open world is like.
tbf, HL is completely different. People waited for around 13 years for a new HL game, and when a new entry was finally announced, it could only be played on prohibitively expensive technology. I don't think you can compare the hype for a new HL to the hype for more Horizon, or more Star Wars videogames (people care WAY more about Star Wars films - I don't think people really passionately gaf about SW games, except a few nerds).
No one really gives a crap that a Hori...
Reunion would have worked, but for some reason they gave that to the Crisis Core remaster / remake.
Renewal, Revival, and Resurrection are the most likely, I'd say, but SE might throw a curve ball.
Edit: I'll add "Retold" as a potential candidate.
It's between a remake and a remaster because the graphics are pretty different, as are the voices, but it mostly seems to be shot for shot, ad it looks like it plays exactly the same.
I was very underwhelmed too. The most impressive-looking stuff only appeared in flashes, but I wonder how impressive that stuff would've been if we had gotten a proper look at it?
The combat was probably the worst looking thing about it, and after that, the landscape graphics near the player and the vegetation in general (the distant vistas looked pretty good). I also thought the ships looked pretty hideous. The graphics in general looked very washed-out, especially tha...
GhostTurtle: Pretty sus to be contrarian about this.
