No images, no footage, no gameplay description, no story premise, and no window for when we might see / learn any of this stuff, just a name and a vague genre. Ok.

Kind of burned out on Persona, so I'll probably skip this for now. I think I'll go cold turkey on the series until 6 comes out so that it has the greatest impact. 3 is great - probably the best one - but I'd be more inclined to play this remake right away if it was more of a reimagining, like Final Fantasy VII Remake. I'll play it some day, though.

Dev and CEO are shameless plagiarists who barely know what they're doing, and who just want to get rich quick. People shouldn't really be supporting them.

Yeah, I just don't know what they could do to get all the kids invested in it at this stage. The only thing I can think of is a total reboot, but that would be an enormous project, and they clearly have no intention of doing it. I mean, the series has just embarked upon another "saga", which, if it's anything like the last "saga", will take another 2 decades to complete, will consist of 6+ games, and will convolute the overall narrative even further (if that's ...

I think a problem that SE is going to run into (or already has run into) with this series is that a lot of the people still following it were kids / teens when they played the first one, and are now much older. I know I'm finding it increasingly hard to tolerate the childishness of some of the stuff in these games, and I'm sure there are plenty of original players who have since just stopped following the series for this reason. I can't count the number of times I was playing KH3 ...

It has some of the best music in the entire series, easily, and the visual design of the world is just beautiful. I also like the world / setting / mythology, and the combat system is pretty fun, too. The main weak links are the story and characters, though, for sure. They just weren't written to the usual standard of the series. Other than that, I wouldn't have minded a little bit more freedom and exploration, but not every game has to have those things.

The sequel...

I think we all knew that the initial trailer was too good to be true.

V and VI!

To be fair, this is very true. Most of us have no sense of the amount of work that goes into making most of the things that we enjoy, let alone video games, but it's just kind of hard to compute a developer with as much talent and resources as Bethesda producing a game of Starfield's quality. I don't doubt that an enormous amount of work and man hours went into developing the game, and I do think that we, as the consumers of these things, should temper our criticisms somewhat in l...

There are a few ugly shots in the trailer, but most of what was shown looks pretty great. I think the worst looking parts by far are that aerial shot of the city at night and the street level nighttime shot that follows it - just not good.

Having said that, though, if the game's quality is even slightly less than what they showed in the trailer when it finally comes out, it'd be pretty outrageous given the abundant talent and resources that Rockstar obviously has. I...

All that talent and all that cutting-edge technology, and they make a generic space marine game. Don't get me wrong, the graphics are obviously amazing, but I'm just not interested in playing this game.

Same guys who are making Paranormal Tales, and that game is an asset flip, so I'm guessing this game is an asset flip with a VHS filter.

I don't have this game, and I'll probably never play it, tbh. The idea of a space-themed Bethesda RPG was exciting, but when they started actually showing it, I was utterly turned off by how visually unappealing it was (and still is). All the colours are washed out, and everywhere just seems so empty, even the places that aren't supposed to be empty. Also, pretty much all the ships look really ugly. From a visual design point of view at least, I'd say this game is a failure, a...

Weird for them to say this considering how well they're doing these days. Aren't all the Resident Evil remakes selling really well? Kind of hard to see this as anything but greed.

I think the developers here are doing the right thing by warning players of the scene in advance and giving them the option to skip it. Stuff like this can be very hard for actual victims to see. I also think it's good that they're, apparently, making sure that it is a disgusting and scary scene, rather than one that is titillating. The thing that bothers me, though, is the feeling I have that they're trying to have it both ways. So-called boomer shooters don't typically take ...

Fair point, but if, say, Rockstar, had tried to make a game like Star Citizen, you can bet we'd have all played it by now. Same yearly budget; half the time AT MOST to actually finish making it, and I'm not implying that crunch is good or is the solution. I'm willing to bet there are a lot of people having a miserable time making Star Citizen as well. I suspect that the Star Citizen team are just milking the development game as much as possible without having to finish it - it'...

None of this would have been an issue had Bethesda just been transparent about it. This just isn't the same as being able to explore an entire planet, this is just pretending that you're exploring an entire planet - which is absolutely fine by the way, because making a 1:1 planet would probably be technologically impossible to do well, especially with their engine. Having zones and implying travel across the land between them via loading screens is arguably more immersive than it bein...

I mean this is surely just a game-as-a-service at this point, right? They should probably just abandon the goal of "completing" the development of the game and releasing it, and just release it now as an MMO. Or is it even in good enough shape for that? Obviously it's a very ambitious game, but with 600 million, what exactly is stopping them from hiring loads more people and just getting it done? - you know, like every triple-A game. 14 years of active, uninterrupted development...

I mean, if you're going to spend what was likely hundreds of millions making a video game, don't expect to make that back by releasing it exclusively on a console that came out almost 3 years ago but only recently overcame supply issues, and is on track to sell less in its lifetime than all the other PlayStations did.

My heart stopped when I saw "Tomba! Announced" in the news. Then I read the surrounding words and felt slightly disappointed. Still, Whoopee Camp is active again, so the more Tomba-boosting the better. A new Tomba game would literally be a dream come true for me. I really hope that this is a stepping stone to that.
