Most overrated rpg ever. People have nostalgia for this, but when they play it again they'll realize just how dodgy it is. Dialogue and characters are abysmal, music is completely amateur, story just plain stinks; it wants to be it's then contemporaries so badly, and the battle system is way too unforgiving (no strategy, just impeccable timing.)

I'll admit the locations are pretty, but I've nothing else good to say about this game.

I think it's Toriyama that's bringing it down. Versus'll be better because Kazushige Nojima has greater input. It's a shame he didn't have as much control for XIII.

Daisuke Watanabe, Kazushige Nojima and Hironobu Sakaguchi are the recipe for a good Final Fantasy story. Then again X and X-2 were amazing without much input from Sakaguchi, so yeah, the first two ...

I thought the rule was that consoles for the first few months are more powerful than all current PCs and then PCs start to overtake them again. If these specs are true this sort of sucks.

Well I wouldn't say that's much better. Although it's the way war is trivialized and fetishized in those games that's kind of the main problem if you ask me.

People die in war, they get shot. That's an unfortunate truth. The problem with games like COD in my opinion is that they create fun and explosive, sensational entertainment out of that, sweeping the horrors of it under the rug. A lot of games are morally immature like that.

Yeah but it's what all those things are symbolic of. The "pixels" represent (italicized) the killing of minors etc. That's not good. Of course there's nothing wroing with killing pixels, ignoring the nonsense behind that. It what the images are symbolic of that's the issue.

He's got hundreds of Long range weapons for all occasions, and if it came to close quarters, he's got his wrench, the plasma whip, the walloper, the clank zapper, the razor claws.

Plus he has a sense of humour.

This seems like it could breed elitism in the community.
