Consequences that NINTENDO has foisted in him?
It was a COURT that decided how much money he had to pay for the criminal activities he performed. It’s not Nintendo that suddenly decided he would have to pay them $10mill.
Out of all the things that Nintendo can be said to be given a free pass, this really isnt one of them. Its no different than any other case where a company goes after pirates, cheat makers, etc. It is ultimately a court that will determin...
Putting aside that Redfall is Unreal Engine and Starfield is not… yes, you could say the Creation Engine that BGS uses is outdated. I’m pretty sure everyone has been saying that for every single game they have released since god knows when.
I’m not really sure what that has to do with what he was saying regarding the Decima engine possible needing more upgrades to move past the cross gen limitations they recently had
Also, the devs “confirming it” via a tweet that shows no evidence to actually confirm anything doesnt really do much for me haha.
I dont really doubt its made in Unreal, now whether its actual gameplay and not just a bunch of hand tweaked animations and scenarios purposefully made for the video and not realistic to expect on the actual game… thats still up for debate. I know I’m certainly leaning towards the 2nd option
Jumping ship isn’t necessarily what I would call a “positive term” though
@Crows90
3 years?… you make it sound like its some kind of really old game (and that it somehow proves some point)…
Looks amazing, but definitely felt that on several occasions they were showing way more than I would have liked to see. I’m definitely skipping any new trailers from now until release to avoid spoilers
What exactly would you expect them to do then?
You can be pretty sure that if regulators were not complaining about it, MS would not be doing any of these deals, or certainly not in the same terms.
They are doing the compensations required by regulators to make sure the deal goes through, simple as that
Because the regulatory authorities have very explicitly mentioned one our their concerns is the cloud gaming market?
I cant say I really trust BandaiNamco to do a decent remaster after the recent terrible Tales remasters
@just_looken
Dlss 2 at quality an even sometimes in Balanced mode has already proven to be just as good if not better than native resolution in tons of cases. It reduces a lot of the shimmering you can find in native lower resolutions and improves visual clarity for text and other small details.
Even FSR2, which is not quite as good as DLSS2 is practically indistinguishable from native resolutions unless you are zooming in to the image
You just sound incre...
You probably remember some very selective conversations then, because if anything, the vast majority of PC gamers (and you can back this up from Steam user data) will tell you that they prefer really high framerates and tweaking settings over just a high resolution.
Honestly, in terms of remakes there are a lot of recent ones (and not even that recent) of the same caliber as this one. If anything, its the remasters that have significantly dropped the ball (looking at you Square Enix and Namco Bandai)
Ratchet and Clank on PS4 was an amazing remake, Spyro Trilogy, Crash N Sane Trilogy, THPS1-2, Halo Master Chief Collection, Shadow of the Colossus, Demon Souls, previous RE Remakes, etc
They all vary in the amount of Qo...
Previous Arkane games haven’t been particularly buggy at launch, why are you so sure it will be this time?
Mmm its actually struggling a lot more on Nvidia cards due to the horrible memory management the game has, so anything with 8gbs is really struggling. Not sure where you are getting that AMD cards are struggling more
That said, the vast majority of cards are struggling. Even a 4090 with a 13900k has less performance than what you would expect, has some worse shadow quality than ps5 for some reason and, can get close to 14gb VRAM utilization for some reason and has some real...
Except they are also targeting PC now and based on the minimum specs of their latest ports, they are including hardware even weaker than the Series S
@Sonic
Actually UE5 has better memory management than most engines these days so I’d say that one in particular is less likely to be an issue, that and sorftware lumen not being as heavy as hardware RT.
DF talks about it a bit in this weekend’s podcast (its a question about 8gb GPUs but still the same point)
Other engines might need some more optimization and the SS will probably start stacking up more with the minimum PC spec ports rather than s...

My beloved brand? I dont even have an Xbox… though I’ve had in the past, I’ve purchased and/or played every platform available since the SNES days, I dont care about idiotic console wars nor am I delusional enough to base my physical or online persona on a Company just because I purchased their product.
Right now I have PC, PS5 and Switch…., and no, im nowhere near UK, im from Central America, where undoubtedly Xbox doesnt have as good a distribution as...
Well, part of being a global brand is doing as much as possible to reach everywhere.
I have no doubt that some games would not see a sufficient ROI, specially with Square Enix and their usually horrible expectations/budget managment/marketing but it still has to be part of their global reach, not everything can be so reductive (though that’s certainly been SE way of doing things for a while)
If even way small publishers and indie titles have no issues rel...
Someone sounds awfully bitter….
There is absolutely no reason to blame Nintendo for pursuing the charges. Not even the article is discussing that. He was committing a criminal act.
The point of the article is the amount to be payed, which is 100% the court’s decision
