Did you feel the same way when Sony and Capcom released that busted, near unplayable port of Ultra Street Fighter IV for PS4?
Does this open potential for a Respawn developed Battlefield entry?
Max Payne 3 all over again. Rockstar put all their time and resources into a multiplayer component (albeit quite fun) which was practically dead within a couple of months. Glad I didn't purchase the season pass.
Not saying say that GTAV and MP3 are anywhere near the same level of popularity in terms of multiplayer popularity. However, Rockstar should have taken a page out of GTAIV and RDR's books.
Games like GTAV and MP3 could have benefited greatly from s...
That's because Mattrick was a businessman. Spencer fancies himself as a gamer's gamer. Xbox division was it's most profitable (7th Gen) when Don was at the helm.
What Two-Faced Phil soon tweet something complimentary of Sony or Nintendo and watch how quickly a majority of these angry commentators pull a 180 and suddenly like the guy.
Limited budget still doesn't excuse lackluster animation, especially in the the facial department.
Just take a look at single person developed games like Lost Soul Aside and Bright Memory (also running on Unreal Engine 4, as with Shenmue 3), the facial animations in those two games blow Shenmue 3's out of the water easily and more than likely, on a fraction of it's budget.
You should have higher expectations. Especially with a franchise the likes of Shenmue.
For goodness sake, stop passing clickbait opinion piece articles off as fact.
Castlevania Judgment 2
Sigh. Here we go again..
This coming from the same assclown who had the ShangHeist IP that MS Vancouver/BlackTusk/Coalition were working on for over a year, killed off in favor of focusing solely on more Gears titles? Don't get me started on the original ips that Spencer has had nixed over the last couple of years from the other 1st party studios.
It's bafflingly how Phil is continually given free passes for spouting out such nonsense.
Phil Spencer is the cancer that is slowly eating away at MS in the way of 1st party exclusives.
To PlayStation & PC enthusiasts, he's the best thing to happen to XB1.
Anyone remember Sammy vs. Capcom from over a decade back? Yeah, don't get your hopes up.
Same here. If only the gameplay held up equally. Left much to be desired.
You do bring up a very good point in that MS should make better use of the Halo Engine by branching it outside of IPs outside of Halo (take a page out of Guerrilla Games' book with what they've accomplished with the Decima Engine).
Unity (in more ways than not) is better suited for mobile games. The Halo Engine would have made for a far more suitable engine for a game like Recore.
Exactly. Molyneux is full of bollocks. He's always the victim.
It was under his watch (as Creative Director of Microsoft Europe) and his decision to have Rare restructured (shelving several of their projects in development like Kameo 2, Perfect Dark spin-off, etc.), thus having them relegated to making third rate Kinect games for XBLA.
Yet, here he is making it out like he was this stand up guy being held down against his own will by the evil powers t...
More bullshit PR spin. Spencer and company don't have jack squat planned in the means of genuine XB1 exclusives for coming E3 and so forth.
All they're more than likely going to do is announce some new gimmicky BC features for XB1 and Scorpio, a few timed exclusive indie titles, along with giving concrete release dates for the games that they've already announced years back (Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, Phantom Dust Remaster etc..).
Let's not forg...
RE6 fails to meet sales expectations, Capcom announces an HD Revelations port soon after. RE7 misses its sales target, Capcom announces an 8th Gen Revelations port along with potentially a CV port weeks later.
Seeing a pattern here?
Well, the word going around is that Tango Gameworks will be working with UE4 this time around as opposed to IdTech5 for easier optimization.
Characters from Soul Calibur, probably.
Legend of Korra has been delisted from all marketplace stores as well. The rights expired with Activision.
