Doesn't matter how long the conference is. MS has metaphysically admitted to taking the L with the 8th Gen and XB1. If their intention is to go for broke by announcing a 9th Gen console at E3 but by not creating any "true" exclusives for it (none of this Win10/Play Anywhere mess), then they're going to be finding themselves in the exact same predicament as with the XB1.
None of the ports of RE4 (with the exception of the Wii version) have been all that stellar. For some reason, Capcom uses the watered down PS2 version of RE4 as the base for all of it's ports, as opposed to the GC original (which the Wii version was based on).
The PS360 versions of RE4 looked just awful.
Not sure which version the Switch port is based on.
Lol. MajorNelson, is that you? More 1st party studios and Ips have been killed under Spencer's reign, than under any other Xbox CEO (including Mattrick) in their entire history.
Case in point, The Coalition were initially developing (for nearly two years) a new ip that was to rival the Halo series. Then Spencer comes along and has the Studio relegated to making Gears game's.
Gets no credit from me.
For a second there, was under the impression that this is an X-Blades/Blades of Time follow-up.
He's only saying this to try to entice MS into releasing their games onto the Epic Games' store as opposed to only MS Store and Steam. Soon we'll be hearing that Gears 5 PC will be releasing only on MS/Epic stores.
The irony.
By the time Infinite comes around, the BR craze will have fizzled.
No Bayonetta. :(
Seems like all the recent talk about finally giving Capcom it's due was a tad premature.
Yet, had MS gone with AW2 over QB, you'd all be crying how MS doesn't take chances with new IPs and only does rehashes and sequels, blah blah blah...
Bayonetta is not a "beat' em up". The the games have too many action-adventure elements (platforming, backtracking, item progression, etc.) to fall into the "beat em up" category. Beat em' ups are more straight-forward.
Games like Final Fight, Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, and Phantom Breaker: Battlegrounds are Beat em' ups.
XB1/PC life-long exclusive my ass.
What does PUBG being a timed console exclusive, have to do with its current dwindling PC playerbase?
Nevermind, your name explains it all..
At least with Kojima, he knows where his bread is buttered. He's always been a Sony/PlayStation faithful, in the fact that he's staying with the company/brand where his game's have been most successful. Unlike Cliffy B., who completely threw his core audience (Xbox) under the bus, in an attempt to pander to a crowd (with Lawbreakers PS4), who showed very little interest in his game from the beginning.
Imagine had Death Stranding been announced as only releasing ...
Lol. The lead designer of Gravity Rush openly cited Crackdown as a major influence to the series in terms of gameplay. How old are you? Twelve?
That's exactly how I feel about RE7.
Lol. Most of comments here deeming MGSV a disappointment and worst MGSV release, are from the same people who were calling it a masterpiece shortly after it launched.
It was when people found out Konami had content from the games storymode on the chopping block (and announced that they wouldn't be patching them into the game), that everyone decided to pull an 180.
Almost as bogus a rumor as that one where MS was reviving Silent Hills as an XB1/Win10 exclusive and that the game was over 70% complete.
By SE standards, it'll only need another 4 million units to break even.
Similar to IO Interactive with Hitman, SE will sell off Crystal Dynamics and the Tomb Raider ip. Most likely to WB.
Wouldn't hold my breath too much. At least not for an new entry in the franchise. Seems like every year there's a rumor about an E3 announcement for a new Banjo, Conker or PD to no avail.
Not getting hopes up.
