Chances are pretty good that whatever the number is going to be for the 360 will be the same for the PS3. Even if one is capable of having more for whatever hardware/software optimization reason they will probably want to have a uniform number between the two consoles. Maybe not, but I'm heavily leaning toward that. I'm also leaning toward them not having 64 players for consoles, as if that were the case, they would have already stated it being 64 across all platforms.
I think what he might be hinting at is emergent gameplay/story, which oddly enough, the original Deus Ex was wiz at and one of the first games to utilize it.
Emergent properties are where the true future of gaming should reside, because it directly represents how our world actually works. How interesting that the future would come from the past.
All I will say is, every day when I go to work on the train here in the SF Bay Area, you can find people of all ages surfing or playing games on their phones, ipads, whatever.

Honestly PandaJenkins... you are proving my point. All 3 of those games are viable options... and that's just 3 out of many, many more. Skyrim alone will be responsible for well over a 100 hours of gameplay. That's more time than your average full-time job for two weeks. I mean, if I'm not careful, this year my fiance might decide to cut bait, wedding or no wedding.
If you happen to also have a PS3, there are even more games coming out that make it even harder ...
There are so many great games coming out this year, I don't know how I'm going to perform all my duties in life adequately and play them too... Between work, relationship, pets, family and general day-to-day maintenance... I just don't know...

Thing is... games use to consist of shooting a pixel at a blob of pixels and then it would make some kind of 80's synth pop sound and explode into some kind of an x shaped thing and disappear.
The games then had like 500 lines of code and when a game rolled credits, if it had them, it consisted of like 2 or 3 titles. Programming - Art - Sound (maybe) and all 3 were usually the same guy.
