Please explain semi-hot?
Yes, in other words an opinion piece...
So... some guy who works at a big box store prints something out and puts it at a register and all of a sudden Microsoft has officially stopped them from selling something that they have no ability to stop. I see.
So... nobody thinks this is a joke or some fanatic up to some kind of shenanigans?
Edit: Wow, a disagree... there's that disagree fairy up to his old tricks again.
There were women at the event that were invited in a journalistic capacity. It was not boy's only. I don't agree that anything needs to change. Take it for what it's worth, not as a cause to be championed ad nauseam.
This article was the opinion of one game journalist, nothing more. Her feelings are what they are and she should be able to express them, but they are just her impression.
Not every website/blog based game journalist is going to ...
I mean, granted Cenobia, I'm 30 years old and have not been 10 or 12 for some time now... but, that's what kids do, right? They play war. They use their imaginations to rid the galaxy of a menace here and save a princess there ect. I think everybody needs to take a deep breath and figure it out.
What was that video trying to do? It was trying to show kids using their imagination, like they do every day, and apply it to a game console... Seems reasonable to me.
I don't know what they think they are protecting, but it certainly isn't their image or their IP. Why do you think Deus Ex is coming out? Diehard fans that remember that game and continued interest from a still active mod community. Look at the Half-Life model...
I'm not sure if these guys are insane or live in a bizzaro world, but whatever it is... it needs to stop. Maybe you will continue to exist and maybe you won't, but when you create bad blood with yo...
I couldn't have said it any better... I'm unclear as to why they even locked in with Microsoft and console only to top it off. Seems like they wasted a lot of time and potential.
Actually, it promoted standing up for yourself... I don't know where you got the promoting of bullying part.
I disagee with almost everybody's comment. I think the video/mock ad was great. Whatever... different strokes and shit.
I kind of doubt this is going to happen. At first I was like NOOOO my beloved PC exclusive going to consoles! But, then I realized, as long as they don't change anything with how they design the game for the PC, what does it really matter?
But, see here's the thing... when you develop a game for a particular platform, you start making it with that platform in mind. Everything from the gameplay elements, to the pacing, to the graphic engine, to whatever gets tuned sp...
Regardless of how anyone feels about Mr. Bobby or some of the games they release, they are not going to die this year or any time soon. They are making too much money. One game alone just sold 20 million copies and they have Blizzard.
While I don't like the fact that they are not PC centric in their design and all the things we miss out on as PC players because of that, I'm still happy they are at least attempting to make it a worthwhile experience on the PC. That's better than some developers... even with the downgraded textures. Oh, well.
Ultimately, in my view, PC will still end up being the winner overall, especially when the mods come.
That's great, as Australian gamers seem to get screwed over... not to mention their internet plans. I feel for them, actually.
Bring back levitation.
Higher quality textures. I'm personally sick of having to look at low res textures, especially when looking out a window from inside a building.
Also, more bewbs.
Wow....
So, they show Diablo 3 back in 2008 and what they show then looked pretty good... it's now 2011 and they still won't be releasing it... Actually, this is classic Blizzard.
I think the appropriate internet Meme for this situation would be...
Fuuuuuuuuuuu!
Hey, remember when they made games like Soldier of Fortune? So... can they, like... make more like that?
You know edgeofblade... I have a long way to go to be as good as you. I checked and you have 10 people ignoring you... I only have 3 :(
But, soon I will also rise to the heights of unlimited power and have double digit ignore numbers.
I've never ignored anyone on this site. Why? Because it's pointless and I don't mind hearing what other people think, even if it doesn't mesh with what I think.
Anyway, that was a side-t...
When the they pass around the information folders and the people open them up, they will find one sheet of standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper, and on it will simply read "We made a lot of money." and everybody will nod their heads and make approving inarticulate throat noises.
Afterwards, they will fly away on their solid gold jetpacks.
Hey, 1997 was a pretty good time. X-Files was on... I didn't have to pay for my own food... Still had 2 years before The Matrix changed our lives... X-Files was on.
If I could agree with you more than once (no, I'm not one of those multiple account people), I would. BRAVO.
