Well, my 8800GTS 512 Rev92 (the revision number is important as there are two versions and the 92 is the superior one) has proven to be an incredible value. It can tear up most of what is out there on the market. However, with the crop of games that are coming out this year, I think this year I will be upgrading. You can get a damn decent card for under $200.00 right now (460gtx) and if I wait a few more months, I bet there will be even better deals coming out.

I'll comment on why I think things like real-time radiosity is important and pretty cool.

What if you created a game where you could literally destroy everything. The walls, the floor, some or all of the lights in a enclosed structure? What if there was a light on the other side of the wall you blow a hole through? Think about that. In your standard engine, anything you do has to be pre calculated currently, but with a truly dynamic real-time capability, all light wo...

When I was 11 I did my own laundry, could cook when I needed to (my mom worked 2 jobs and my dad was building a business), I was given numerous responsibilities and also numerous freedoms, because I was responsible.

But, I was a fat kid... I won't lie.

I turned into a responsible adult that is capable of making informed decisions and handling my own problems.

Still kind of fat though... I won't lie.

But, is your computer desk area? I've seen the pictures... I like coke too, but shit... lol.

It will play on my system, but it won't fly on it. This makes me sad. My 8800GTS 512 is getting old.

For Red VVV - But, is your soul?

@Red - Well... some would say that the 8800GTS 512 is a superior card to the 8800GTX and this has to do with Nvidia's odd way of producing an numbering/lettering their cards Both are getting old though...

@Enigma - Yes, I am.

Each one represents enjoyment. Each one is an act that has a consequence. Each one adds to the experience you are having in the game - good or bad, relative to your viewpoint and how others in the game view you. I see no intellectual difference.

From what Howard has said about the perk system, it's not a copy of how perks are done in Fallout, it is a different system that will use a branching skill related upgrade setup. This will make for a unique character and experience for everybody. I think it's a good way to go. Yes, it's different for an ES game, but I'm choosing to welcome this change. Plus, when the mods start rolling out, we are going to be able to play this game pretty much any way we like. (PC version, of...

I doubt I will be disappointed by this game and with the mods that will be coming, it will be 100's of hours of additional gameplay on top of the 100+ hours of vanilla content. This game is going to be a beast of an experience.

Seriously, this is the kind of game that makes me excited to be a gamer.

Pachter is an industry analyst. He makes predictions based on the information he has on hand and what he can project from that data. However, if life were as predictable as he and any person that tries to predict the future would want you to believe, everybody would be a lottery winner and nobody would lose money in the stock market.

In the end, his bullshit doesn't amount to any more than if I started forecasting the future of Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo.

What do sex scenes add to anything? When you read about sex in a story or watch it happen in a movie, do you ask what does it add then? Could not the same be said for killing a character in a story? What does that add? What does rescuing a town from destruction add to any given story or experience?

Really, what doesn't add to the experience you are having in any medium? It all adds something, in the end.

If we didn’t have conflict, resolutions and al...

The average age for a game player is over 30 years old now, which makes sense, because these are the same people who were playing back in the Atari/NES days. Most of them never 'grew out of it' just like people don't grow out of playing sports or reading.

Games should be looked at no different than any other form of media. Some movies are not meant for kids and the same can be said for games. Politicians and parent groups are slow to catch up, but it will happe...

I'm not sure if HVS is a private company or if they have shareholders and are public... I think they are private and are not publicly traded. I would have to think they are, because only a private company can get away with that kind of mentality. I think more studios need to get free of their publically traded publishing masters.

If you are making any profit off of something you produce, you are winning. If you break even, you are still pretty much winning, because you ...

My underwear is a lab specimen jar by the time I get done thinking about Skyrim and I complete by looping the Spike VGA announcement over and over. True story.

As far as I know, when Daggerfall came out, there was nothing that came even close to what it did. It was easily the biggest and most free-roaming game I had ever played up to that point. Yes, the towns and dungeons were generic building block randomized set-ups, but it was still amazing for it's time.

It's really weird... I say that because, how they have always done it, is all I know. They have had basically the same system in place, with a few minor changes since Daggerfall and this could either be really cool or really bad. My assumption, based on the things I heard and read, leads me to think this will be better in the long run and will give us all a more enjoyable experience. I hope that is the case. I guess will find out in November.

I think it's great that he is able to enjoy games in spite of his physical handicap. However, I think there are probably better was to handle input/control using the current research and commercial application of that same research even today. They have some way to go yet, but the day where we can control just about anything electronic with our mind is coming. Since his issue is not with his brain, but with the pathways that take his brain's signals to his other body parts, that would...

Shouldn't people wait until the majority of reviews are in and counted? I mean, this is like when people call elections before all the votes are counted. Just wait and see. Maybe it won't go any higher and maybe it will, but at least give it time before you make a pronouncement from your mountaintop. (I don't own a PS3, but even so I would like to think I'm fair-minded)

Besides, an 88 is not a bad score. I would be perfectly okay with (and probably have bee...

I do not fully believe in a higher power. In fact, even if a higher power did exist, who is to say it had anything to do with our existence? What if the two are mutually exclusive?

There is one thing I know for certain (ha), because it is the most logical and rational thing that I know of to exist in our world. You cannot rule something out, until you can rule something out. What do I mean?

There was a time when people thought health problems and poor cr...
