Badz149 - It's cool man, I don't mind a long comment, I make plenty myself. I understand where you are coming from and enjoyed your comment.
I want to add that a computer is an all-in-one solution. If you want to game using other input methods and control schemes, there is no limit to what you can do with a computer. It accepts pretty much everything. But, a closed system with forever be static and that is the curse of all closed platforms that have strict control pla...
This concept brings back memories of Johnny Mnemonic.
Well badz149, my point is that if we didn't have consoles, this subject wouldn't even exist. However, others would probably come to take their place... like OS wars and so on.
Picture it badz149... No special licensing... lowered costs per game... costs of computer equipment very affordabled... more games being made for an open platform...
More choice.
More freedom.
More fun.
More money bein...
Actually, just put a $120.00 graphics card in your desktop PC and you're golden. No limits, no excuses, maximum fun and maximum profit for developers because they are not subsidizing the hardware via licensing from the big 3.
In the bigger picture, Crysis is just one game... you will be enjoying a lot more than just one game on your new PC. Look forward to that and be happy you made a great move.
He watched it all. He is a liar. They set that up for hits and sensationalism. He needs to run a comb through his hair and shave that god-awful hobo beard.
It's a trailer. It's not real. It's not even real people, acting that they are dying... it's completely fabricated from every possible angle.
If zombies existed, they would eat/kill children and there would be zombie children. This faux outrage is baffoonery in its most rarified form.

Mr. Predictable, derogatory and uninspired comments here ^^^
I enjoyed it, but I am a PC gamer. As to how well it did on Xbox... Games like Risen usually don't do all that well on consoles. They are more PC centered experiences and appeal to PC tastes.
Also, most console gamers are used to a certain formula and when a game doesn't fit that formula exactly, they have trouble acclimating. Not to mention that it's a European developer, so there is a different design sensibility - Just look at the STALKER (Russian/Eastern Eu...
Why would having the settings lowered be more fun for you? I mean, you can do what you want, but I really don't get it and I am currently playing Stonekeep using DOSbox and the game was produced in like 1995. So, I understand that graphics aren't what make a game...still, if you have such a great PC (I'm assuming it is and by expensive, you mean a recently purchased modern machine), why not utilize its capabilities when playing newer games?
Yes... I understand what you mean. However, I'm a little concerned... they could really screw this up. I guess we will have to wait and see.
Cool. Abstract sounds interesting. Architect too. It's good to see these next generation of indie developers come into their own.
Play it and then see if you think it's boring. I don't think you will have that opinion once you have spent some time with it.
Hey neomatrix909... I can only speak for myself here... but, go ahead and bury yourself in the ground, up to your neck, and wait for the ants to come. Please.
Thank you.
He has the same right to ask for donations, as would anybody else. Some people will donate and some won't. The end.
Just because you don't like him or what he has done, does not mean he can't ask. You guys should try being fair-minded and for those who keep saying they want to donate their fist in his face and whatever else... grow up. Plus, you probably have weak girl arms anyway, so what's the point?
GenoZStriker has the most fair comment I&...
I thought the Gears of War trailer was pretty good and Deus Ex was great... But, I have to ask... how does that take away from this one? Can't they all be good? Can only one or two be good and then because you don't have anything invested in this other one emotionally or financially, it has to completely blow?
Man, I love callous and petty internet thinking.
Seriously, it makes me happy inside.
EDIT: Peowpeow - it was for theonethat...
Haha... way to be a contrary internet guy. Congratulations.
Tell him what he's won, Don!
Well Bob, he's won a lifetime supply of scorn and bitter soul-crushing loneliness!
Thanks, Don!
How fantastic for you ZFGokuSSJ1.
Interesting conference session. I watched the whole thing. I had a vain hope that someone would ask when episode 3 was coming... but, that didn't happen.
I think that Gabe is genuinely a good guy and has a good head on his shoulders. I'm glad a guy like that is in charge of Valve and honestly, that's a big factor in why they have gotten where they are today.
He seems to really want to study the reasons and motivations behind people's desires a...
This is regular gaming and particularly console gaming compared to Steam and PC gaming in a nutshell:
Do you want this one game for $60.00 or do you want to download endless pleasure for $5.00?
Wow, that's a toughie... I think I'm going to go with the endless pleasure option.
No game is perfect, but none of The Elder Scrolls games have been mediocre... and that includes Battlespire and Redguard. I played every one of them since the beginning and though they have changed with the times and to suit changing development philosophies, they have always been cherished experiences.
No... it is not child abuse.
