I've read one review with an 8/10 and it was positive, and the 8/10 on the site described "awesome."
8/10 means an excellent game. This generation of gaming reviewers are way more generous at giving perfect 10s to games making 8/10 looking like the new 6/10.
What about a PC version of RDR? You've given us LA Noire, when we've been asking for RDR since...well...the beginning of time. Ugh.
Whatever, hopefully we'll see a successor of RDR or at least another expansion set.
I am definitely not disappointed in UC3. It isn't my favorite in the series but IMO it is still better than the original game.
"I would take Zelda out"
No.
I suspect a 1/10 review incoming.
I completed it. How I did it, try taking out the guy in the back with the turret by walking to him. You venture across the crates on the right side of the shipyard and you then climb up to the turret's location and you can easily take him down. That is one headache off your back.
Then use the turret to your advantage for some of the baddies, but watch out for the baddies that will be appearing behind you and taking you into some brutal action. On top of some boats you wi...
Ugh, I am playing my first playthrough on hard and I am currently in this precise area. The big armored goons are the sole reason why it's so competitive. The rest of the game prior to it is quite easy. I think playing the game on hard was a mistake but I did it on UC2 and that was a cakewalk. Whatever, I still love the game though.
MW3 is an apple
Skyrim is an orange
This article really is pointless.
For all its worth I am ready for the leap from physical media to digital downloading. I will miss having my bookshelves full of colorful boxes but I can also live without that.
Anyway, I like this idea of pre-downloading games for instant midnight launch play.
Good for him.
I can likely spend less money and buy a computer that outperform this thing, a Wii U, a PS4, a 720, a 3DS, and a Vita. An utter waste of valuable cash in my book.
I purchased the game on the day after launch (yesterday). It's really a must have if you like Uncharted, but IMO Uncharted 2 is still my favorite in the franchise. My personal rating wouldn't be an 8/10 but more like an 8.5 or 9/10. Keep in mind though, just because UC3 is your favorite game, that doesn't render an 8/10 review bait material.
Why? The story ended just fine. Make something new. Continuing to pump more of the same games from the same old franchise for years and years is going to stale it. Ugh.
@solar and darthv72:
I absolutely love my PS3 but I criticize it as well when I feel criticism is due. For example, the Other OS debacle and how SONY handled it is really a one-sided business tactic that does not at all benefit the consumer. You could say it's just a useless feature most people don't use, but that doesn't have a bearing on how useful I find having the ability to type documents, using a well-established web browser, and being able to IM my contacts...
Ah, I actually forgot about the AV review. Whatever, I don't find it of much importance to begin with anyway. I'll play UC3 on my own to see for myself how good this game will be.
8 is a good score. I will not be turned away from buying a video game over an 8. 8 still means a great game, and as a matter of fact it is the lowest I've ever seen for this game. I'd take that as a compliment.
EDIT: BTW I never visit Metacritic for some odd reason so I don't know their lowest score.
Some people have no friends. In this case, this random slimy loser basement societal drone hacking SN accounts on the Internet doesn't.
Meh, despite the large selection of DLC per game, the latest DLC pack I've purchased was Undead Nightmare on launch date. That was an expansion pack that adds a few hours of SP content and plenty of MP content as well, not some $1.25 fashion accessory that adds absolutely nothing to the game, or on-disk "DLC" with intention to artificially increase the game's retail price.
"Zero, nycredude just owned u so hard."
Except I don't take comments on Internet sites with no meaning in the real world seriously, especially comments with spelling errors like gmae. Special thanks to nycredude for the sloppy attempt at owning some random elitist prick behind a computer screen. That was somewhat entertaining.
On one site that gave UC3 an 8, the score means awesome. On GameSpot 8 means great although they rated UC3 a 9. People were overreacting way too much over an 8/10.
