Cloud gaming will have the future but it will not be the future end all be all solution of gaming. You're comparing this to YouTube but yet YouTube is not the future of TV nor it will be.
Cloud gaming will be the Netflix of gaming, nothing more.
Greed got the best of iD, going the way of BioWare and taking an enormous turd on their fanbase that have supported them til this very day. All this for a new, larger fanbase of pea-brain idiots.
Step #1 of actually giving PC gamers a game they would play.
Between this and all the glitches the PC version has, I will wait for the bargain bin edition of the game. I don't bend to paying $60 for broken console ports on PC. Obviously the PC as a platform is the least of their priorities, otherwise we wouldn't be seeing such a glitchfest to begin with.
Midi needs to come back. Nothing beats midi on games from long time iconic series like Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, whatever. Orchestral music is nice but doesn't match the same level of enjoyment.
Nintendo should've waited for a better launch lineup, a system that consumes less battery power, and getting the design straight by adding a secondary analog nub (since now they decided on the importance of one). It has been over 6 months since it's release and still no definitive Mario or Zelda game. Greed got the best of Nintendo and launched the system early, with a sticker shock, in hopes for the masses to eat it up.
6 months since its release, but yet the hype t...
K/D Ratio is just E-Penis. People abusing the system can kill an online game for others that play it simply for some entertainment. The more games ditch this the better.
Too bad games nowadays are being played for "zOMG LUK @ DA GRAFIKZ!!1"
Graphics are important and all, but what is happening to playing games for the fun? Why do gamers think about all the raw horsepower every time they climb vines and bust some ass?
Agree with #2 the most. The rest on that list, to me, are nowhere near as bad as being permanently locked out of the possibility to unlock a certain achievement/trophy. Ugh. Online trophies should be optional and not mandatory for a Platinum for this very reason.
No advanced graphics options
Texture pop-ins
Screen tearing
Bugs and glitches galore
Yet another game broken on release
EDIT: I have read some of the thread at NG and found this amazing screenshot

Meh, I was interested in this game but I'll leave it to the console gamers. To be frank I grew weary of post-apocalypse brown wasteland shooters. I am busy with the Witcher 2 I bought on sale anyway, and looking forward to BF3, Torchlight 2, and Diablo III.
The engine of the game like Tim Willits has explained is a technology that self-adjusts according to your computer configuration. But still, controlling the settings yourself is what certain PC gamers would prefer. Th...
Then you have the independent developers picking up where developers like Bethesda, iD, BioWare left off. These developers can be tomorrow's AAA developers. No, I am not talking about the platform games you could play on a flash player, but quality indie games from developers that actually remember what PC gaming was a long time ago. Then we have DICE that developed BF3 on a PC and then porting to the consoles, and there's Valve, Stardock, Blizzard, CD Projekt RED, SEGA, Maxis, etc. ...
Cool. Print it out and post it on your refrigerator.
I know what you mean. I stopped paying $60 on games a long time ago. Waiting for sales doesn't really hurt as you're spending less cash on video games and you're allowing yourself more money in your wallet for more important things in life.
Why are you getting disagrees? Beyond me.
Anyway, I am disappointed by the fact PS2 games on disk are not supported by this emulation technology. SONY can easily allow PS2 games to be played on non-BC PS3 units now that they've successfully achieved PS2 emulation. Trophies would be a nice add-on but it's just icing on the cake. The core game alone is the most important.
Concerning BC, SONY is emulating PS2 games for the PS Store. Unfortunately they won't be played from a disk and you'll have to rebuy them off the store. All non BC PS3s will be able to emulate PS2 titles from the PS Store only.
This is PS2 emulation, this is what was needed for BC on a PS3 without the original hardware. It is in best interests for SONY to allow non-BC PS3s play PS2 titles off a disk, even if BC is similar to the 360 due to profiles it is still better than no PS2 BC at all.
Anyway, hoping to see the Dark Cloud games available on PSN in the future, especially the sequel. Those games offered what many RPGs don't, sandbox elements.
You know what, EazyC? You can report any found bugs and glitches to DICE so they can, you know, fix them in the retail builds. Only if people actually understand what a BETA build is, really. BETA games are NOT for you to demo the game pre-launch. DICE invited you to test their game and report any known bugs and glitches. BETA means unfinished software and is expected to have stability issues.
Right, it is not difficult to expect bugs in a BETA build for software of any category. Software developers typically warn users of BETA software to be wary of bugs and advise against using it as an application for your daily tasks. It is, like you said, for testing purposes only.
People need to stop complaining about bugs in a BETA game and report them to the developers.
Why are you posting PC specs instead of simply using a few words to get your point across that you as a PC gamer won't have much of an issue with this game?
Look, I am a PC gamer. I spend over 90% of my gaming on my PC but your specs don't matter in this article. Just say you have a whopping 1TB and won't have an issue with this humongous game. There is no need to gloat about your PC. Nobody in this article is going to care.
I loved DA: Origins despite being an eyesore in some locations but DA2 was such a bad joke for being catered to the masses of idiots with fat-filled skulls rather than the founding fans of the original game, all for some extra cash.
I'll give ME3 a try and if that turns into shit I will not buy another BioWare game again.
