Oh well, people that really wanted an OLED Vita now is their chance to buy it. Like the PS3 models with BC everyone complained about the price and didn't buy one.
Not like Japanese gamers buy home consoles as much as they used to. It's mostly about portable gaming there.
I am getting this console when it comes out here. This also means PSP games on my TV (I only own a PSP-1000) with a DS controller, all for the price of an OUYA.
If you want to release a budget game console, turning your handheld console into a home console is a wonderful idea.
They don't matter as much to me as some other gamers out there. Not refusing to play some of my favorite franchises based on a lesser than desired specs. I am much more willing to buy a Wii U over an XBone for way too many reasons.
I love the Vita handheld but always wanted to play some of these games on my TV with a DS controller. Hopefully Sony will allow Move support as it could work for compensation of the touchscreen controls, but then again what about the back panel controls?
"Time for Nintendo to dump the Wii U and focus on releasing games on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbone."
This is why everyone on the internet hates the Wii U.
A company the size of Activision is really that lazy.
Proud owner of one of these and I needed a Wiimote Plus so I got one, and it's collectable!
If great means big budget AAA titles then lol. 10/10 reviews for AAA games are usually paid.
I never play Crytek games on my PC and I have over 300 games in my Steam library.
You know nothing about NFL, yet you say nothing can outshine your High School football team.
I am not sucking up to a multi-billion dollar corporation just to play a video game. MS screwed up beyond much hope of recovery. First impressions are hard to erase.
How is that for a real gamer?
RROD was caused by many other reasons than just heat. The APU in the XOne is also significantly smaller than the 90nm chips in the early 360 builds. Chances are RROD won't be an issue this upcoming generation.
I agree with most of your comment except you said it's underpowered compared to current gen which it isn't true. It may not be much better than a PS3 or 360 in tech but it's definitely not worse. I really don't know where you're getting that information.
Until I get my hands on this controller and see for myself I am not going to believe any of this.
PC will be my primary platform as I am PC gamer first, console second. As for console it will mainly be my PS4, and my Wii U as a sidekick.
I don't really mind, I have PS+. Just more reason to keep it or simply get it if you're not a subscriber.
Exactly, this is getting ridiculous that people are wasting time with this. The parents are the ones responsible to protect their children from questionable material by monitoring their children's activities on the Internet, and blocking the inappropriate sites accordingly. Problem solved. Now move on to stuff that actually matters, like our economy.
You're underestimating the corporate greed that has been going on within the gaming industry this generation of gaming. You'll be in for a rude awakening if you really expect the trends won't advance next-gen. The publishers are only testing waters with these trends, and for many, they're dipping further into the pond as they consider them successful.
"Backwards compatibility will be back ...don't be fooled. It has and always will be a selling point f...
One of the finest and well-written opinion pieces I've read in a long time. Much of this has a possibility of happening within the next generation of consoles and is foreseeable, judging by the trends set by this generation. As a matter of fact Capcom already took advantage of their opportunity to become the first major publisher guilty of screwing gamers over in the next generation with their 3DS games. If the new RE for 3DS will be a sales success, we'll have $50 handheld games to l...
Yep, my 20GB and 60GB PS3s still going strong.
