"Don't understand why all of a sudden devs think that saying a game will have a TON of DLC is a good promotion tool."
Because gamers nowadays are no longer gamers. Gamers are idiot marketing drones that would spend as much money as they can on a single game with little questioning of the value. These "gamers" are the new target audience for the industry. The smart consumers that actually question the value of games are now irrelevant. That is why games...
Uncharted fans are now hungry for nickel & dime paid DLC? Ugh.
Day 1 rent for me.
Finally.
Between this and the assorted greed-inspired DLC, this is the worst generation in the history of console games.
8.5, that's a really good score. I feel a little more confident in trying out the game to see for myself as my expectations of the game were for the worse and hopes for the best. I am curious how well the port for PC will perform, as the review mentions framerate issues on consoles. I'd more likely purchase this game off a Steam sale than pay a full-fledged retail price on console.
8/10 is still a great game. These vocal angry societal drones you call "gamers" are irritating. Good job morons, you just accomplished redefining the word stupidity.
I'll get the PC version even if it means waiting a few months. As long as it's a well polished console port, big f***ing deal.
So it's only a fraction of the full PC keyboard layout that costs a fortune? No thanks.
I am going to buy it!
Yes, for f*ck's sake the standards need to be changed for reviews. If I were to ever create a game review website or blog it would be combined with a scoreless system. Scores nowadays can trigger way too much controversy among gamers and we have some idiot lunatics rage on the Internet over a number like they currently are with UC3. It's really pathetic. And these idiots haven't even once played the game before.
On the other hand a large portion of your review'...
Have you played it, though? How do you know the quality of UC3 in comparison to UC 1 and 2? Do you somehow own some time machine and time travel? Please, go back to the future and rob major department store warehouses and bring as many copies as you can to your time machine so we can all play. I am very curious how good this game will be. Oh and once you're done, do the same for PSVita's.
"Uncharted3 is simply the best game ever made on consoles"
Wow, have you even played it before? If not, what is with the rash of comments on N4G praising some game they haven't even once played as the best ever on consoles? Like, really. Doesn't seem very logical to me.
"You must not have been looking."
My "entire N4G community" is a hyperbole. It's an intentional exaggeration regardless of fact. By entire I mean the vocal fanboys of this site, and they, unfortunately, make up a significant portion of regulars. Then we have sensible members like -Alpha that are not one of them.
Honestly I could apply this quoted excerpt to yourself as well. I don't think you understand how many on N4G alone are up...
"Personally, I like reviews without scores."
Yes! Couldn't agree any more with this one. A scoreless review with a detailed conclusion or summary on what's positive and negative about the game would well suit the review. That way it would encourage the audience to actually read the review's contents instead of gawking at some number and either go "zOMG PERFECT 10 IGN IS NO LONGER IGNORANT" or "lol 8/10 eurotrashgamer sux trolling article l...
Getting this thing on day 1 to compliment my 3DS. Handheld combo completed.
Play your consoles at night in the Bahamas? Something I'd do.
I really appreciate DICE's efforts in supporting our platform of choice. Hopefully we'll get more PC lead games. Not that console ports are bad in and of themselves (the well-polished ones). Some console ports on PC are even better than the console versions, like Fallout with mod support.
"just because a game is a port does not make it a bad game"
Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fallout, Batman all console ports but console ports actually worth buying on PC (as long as you like the games).
Oh my, Uncharted 3 got a C by some random blog on the Internet. End of the world. Really, you rage over the most trivial of things. You're going to get a heart attack and get buried in a coffin beneath a tombstone over a f**king video game. Pathetic.
