Some serious next-gen...
Why not. Anything that would sell Wii U consoles, be it a new game, a new IP or a well made HD remaster is good for Nintendo.
Some of the games I really enjoyed this generation:
Demon's Souls
Dark Souls
3D Dot Game Heroes
Catherine
The Rune Factory games (loved Harvest Moon but this is much better IMO)
Uncharted series
TLOU
Beyond: Two Souls
Batman Arkham Asylum
Batman Arkham City
inFamous 1 & 2
Far Cry 3
Borderlands 1 & 2
GTA IV & V
Red Dead Redemption
Saints Row 2 & 3 ...
Will they offer this for PS3/PS4?
"Seems like we can't win either way."
No, we just can't reason with trolls.
Your system activation might still work, but you wouldn't re-download any of your content from the Marketplace. Anything left behind will be lost. However if your console fails, there goes all.
Exactly, and I thought NISA is intended to bring Japanese culture out into the west. When I want a Japanese video game I want all of it. Not some slightly stripped down experience to appease to a bunch of sissy's that wouldn't even give this game the time of day. Talk about selling out.
There's also The Guided Fate Paradox, R&C Into the Nexus, The Witch and the Hundred Knights, Tales of Xillia 2, and a whole bunch of others coming for PS3 in 2013-2014.
"The press release states that NIS has decided to “edit” certain elements of the title for the western release, due to their “sensitive nature”. Sigh."
I am importing the Japanese version then.
Dat controller...
The whole thing started as a joke, but the ones that actually take it seriously, haters just gonna hate. They wanted attention, and by writing this blog you just gave it to them. Sometimes, it's best to just ignore them and continue to do your own thing.
But yeah, PC > console anyday. Master Race.
I would have thought the Xbox One's game case looks more like this kind of green:

But ok.
Not to mention more expensive, less powerful consoles with less features and way more expensive games.
Wii U is awesome and has a lot of potential, but Nintendo = best gaming company is entirely opinion. Nintendo makes just as many business mistakes as Sony if not more.
...and when they actually looked at an innovative game, be it the screenshots or a YouTube video they complain about it being "too weird" or "too different". As it looks, gaming is in a mess that will continue on, just like movies and music.
I know what to buy for my PS4: Japanese imports, Japanese localizations from NIS, Atlus, Xeed, Idea Factory, etc. and Indies. Yay for Sony making their consoles region free.
Yes...only on Xbox.
Ha yeah forgot about CARS, I have my eye on the PC version but a Nintendo first party driving simulator, similar to MS's Forza or Sony's GT with some light Nintendo iconography such as Mario, Metroid, Zelda, etc.
If done right, Nintendo can really pull it off.
A driving simulator would help too.
Not a sports fan but this is a great idea. No EA Sports on Wii U but Nintendo can provide potentially better alternatives that could sell like hotcakes.
Mario games usually sell like hotcakes and score high by major critics. They also rake in loads of profit to Nintendo. Unless Mario Kart 8 and other major Mario releases undersell Nintendo's expectations, Nintendo shouldn't "give it a rest."
