It was supposed to be a Trilogy, so this is really bad news for the fans.

I purchased one for just $250 over their $150-Off holiday promotion.
Just too good of a deal to pass up.
My only concern was having a wireless connection and even on another floor, pretty much as far away as you could put it without being outside...the WiFi registered 90-100% with little online or gameplay difference compared to the other 60/500 Gig PS3 with a wired connection.

The i7 chip ALONE sells for more than the recent holiday $250 deal on an entire PS3. Considering this is comparing the performance of a current processor to one 4 years old, who's design started 8 years ago...the chip design team did their job well.
Shouldn't a fair comparison compare the i7 in a functional environment...with at least a mid-range motherboard, memory, drive, graphics card & of course a case & OS? (Several Linux OS choices add $0.00 to total cost)

I have recommended both consoles & even the Wii for those who like the gameplay.(I gave mine to my parents, who scoured stores for a WiiFit...they love the Wii, I didn't)
I have in the past more strongly suggested an extended warranty plan with the 360, but now...I really would WAIT.
WAIT till all the current models flush out of the market and ONLY get a 360 with the Jasper motherboard. (that's a polite way of saying, Microsoft is still selling models more prone ...
