I don't understand it myself.
If you don't have a console...why go into console specific discussions just to complain about a console or games for it you don't own, plan to own, or can even play to base an opinion on!
The really stupid part for them is if they would take the time to get over worshiping ConsoleX as a God, they might be able to play more great games as a Gamer.
I'm glad that for most people, it's a game system...not a religion.
And makes perfect sense, since strategy is what really win's any military conflict...and the great graphics & controls don't hurt either.
The nearest Real Time, but not Military Strategy I can think of recently was Civilization Revolution. I'll have to check this out when it's released but the demo seems pretty engaging, strategic & fun at the same time. Not a bad combination at all.
Because claiming something with undeniably impressive graphics is not impressive accomplishes only one thing...Your own lack of credibility.

I think this is one of the few discussions I've seen where everyone actually discussed opinions without anyone really screaming over anything...except a little over the lamp-life. (and I don't know what that guy was)
