The problem is that games like Mario, Zelda, Metroid and Kirby aren't release back to back. There is a gap in between their releases. During this gap Nintendo is more vulnerable to things like low sales and bad press.

Well the N64 was only console during it generation to have a 64bit processor. Which made it the strongest in terms of CPU. On the downside the cartridge is what limited the system. Fast load times but expensive to make and little storage when compared to disc.
2hrs is alright its just the fact you got pay $30-$40 bucks for it that is insane. Konami could just save themselves trouble and make it digital-only and charge $15. That and or they could bundle it with an upcoming game. Pay $60 get Castlevania:LoS2 and MGS:GZ.
I think its the case he fears Nintendo might sue him more than anything. Given the art assets closely resembles that of SMB. It wouldn't be a hard for Nintendo argue this in court.

I don't see anything wrong with expanding to mobile. I'm not sure why many people think it would be a bad move when in reality it would be extra source of revenue. This extra source could help fund some more WiiU and 3DS games. The Nintendo games that are ported or made for mobile doesn't necessarily have to be Mario, Zelda, Pokemon or etc.
Yep I used to play Super Mario World with little to no problem on my crappy android phone(screen was 3.5 inches btw). It's is not as problematic as some people make it to be. Though if you have big fingers than it might be an pain.
Square Enix release FF games for smartphones and it didn't devalue the brand. I remember when that fake pokemon game was release for iOS. It easily became the top game on the store before getting taken down.
Sadly the average consumer does not care about the "value of games." Most consumers just want a game for a reasonable price regardless of the platform/device.

Same ole Nintendo. Though I doubt releasing mini-games would've made a big difference to be honest. Most kids who play games on their smartphones or tablets will want the game for that device rather a WiiU or 3DS.
Nintendo should port of some of their old games(especially the ones thats making zero money) to smartphones. An old Super Mario game for 99cent could sell a ton. Though given that its Nintendo we are talking about, I doubt a move like this will ever happen.
I doubt it would work to be honest. A kid playing a minigame/demo on his/her iPhone more than likely would want that game for the iPhone rather than wanting a WiiU or 3DS to play it on.
Nintendo best bet would to release some of their old titles on smartphones for a reasonable price. A 99cent Super Mario game or Pokemon game(blue,red,green) could sell a ton. Being that it's Nintendo it won't happen and so of their fanbase would be against the move.

Well it may not be a flop yet but its sale performance is poor. The PSP(original) manage to ship more units within two years than the Vita has.

Maybe the rise of mobile gaming is to blame or poor support is to blame. This generation just starting so who knows how it will turn out.
Well the cost of development have already became enormous compared to 10-20 years ago. However some of these publishers are not using common sense and poor management is to blame for games not meeting sales expectations.
Why would any publisher expect a reboot to sell 5million within the first month? Not only that but why give a reboot a high budget?
Cancelling after spending hundreds of millions would be insane.
Delay on the other hand wouldn't be so bad. Delay it until August/September and make necessary improvements.

The same can be said about AngryJoe, TotalBiscuit or any other reviewer. They are giving their opinion about the game they review. It doesn't mean their opinion will align with your (nor is it suppose to).
2014 will come out strong for next-gen games.
I can tell you 2014 won't the year of android consoles. These things doesn't have appeal to consumers much.
I don't think developers and publishers would mind but they fear by implementing such feature would result in a public backlash. Not only that but the ESRB would definitely give it an Adult Only rating. Which mean popular retailers would opt out carrying the game. Which means less sales.
Remember what happen with MoH(2010) MP that allow you play as the Taliban? If killing children was allowed we having an incident 10X worse than what happen with MoH.
Majority of those on that list have their flaws but they are not the worst MMOs. I have seen plenty generic mmos, P2W mmos and grind fest mmos that are 10-100x worse than any of those on that list.
