Well to be fair it was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Usually I see people stating this was one of the best CoD games in the series.
Also to be fair its quite hard to make a top 10 list(that everyone would agree on) when last gen last almost 10 years.

Maybe some of the real fans don't feel like shelling out $250+ just for one game. If that's the case then I don't blame them.

It depends on the budget. We seen Tomb Raider sell over 4million and still be consider a failure by its publisher.
Sales wise regardless the quality of the game it's not a victory and indeed a failure. There's no point sites trying to sugarcoat to avoid pissing some fans off. Let be honest here Platinum Games make some great games but the sale of those games never tend to be high. Which I blame on poor marketing.

I have to agree Capcom has sunken. Majority if not all of their games has yet to catch my interest.

I believe the main reason people use adblockers is because the ads are poorly targeted, placed or just downright annoying. No one want to see an ad about Alzheimer when you're watching video about video game history. I'm pretty sure no one wants to click on a page then get bombarded with popups
I was expecting Class4 aka the MMO version of State of Decay not some mobile game.
When MS had announce a kinect-less X1 SKU I thought they would at least sell it ~$350-375. Personally I think the X1 would've sold a lot more if they had priced at $350.
It will be a while before they can recuperate from the development cost of Kinect 2.0. They generation just started so hopefully they will turn things around.
