I know graphics doesn't determine a game. I've played games like Bastion and Torchlight. Both of which aren't graphic powerhouse and have gotten a lot of praise.
Second the gameplay isn't that good. No way its ES all over. Someone is exaggerating heavily. I've been in the last few weekend beta test and the game doesn't seem anywhere near finish, especially for an April release.
Zenimax got a lot of work to do between now and March....
Well its still in beta though. However I don't think the graphics will be upgraded to make a big difference in 2months or less.
Zenimax imho should delay this game until fall. After hearing they spent 100million on the budget it makes you wonder what the hell have they been doing all this time. I would think a 100million MMO graphically would be high-end or have a lot of content.
How long will it take before this video is taken down?
Half a decade ago isn't really quick.
Given most of SK employees left the company including Denis himself, who will end up paying this 9.2mil?
I honestly doubt Epic will get this much money from a studio that hasn't made a game in a long time. It would be like suing a poor person and expecting to get $100,000 out of them.
We, the Glorious God Gamers (not to be confuse with those PC-MasterRace nutjobs), do not mind adding steam machines to our glorious collection of gaming devices.
Well the pirates months ago manage to make an offline version. Maxis miss their window of opportunity to gain more sales when it matter most. Some who decide not to buy is either busy with other games or playing a modified pirated version.
I know some people buy it if they did release an offline version. However after almost a year after of it original release I don't it will be a huge number. Some people will have that "Too little too late" mentality about it...
Steam is currently dominating on the PC no argument. However 65 million registered users and 7million concurrent users sounds nice and all but it doesn't guarantee these users will go out buy a steam machine, hop on Steam OS or build one themselves.
I imagine Valve will add more features to SteamOS to make it like an HTPC X gaming console to catch more consumer's eye.
Some TES lovers will support it. Some P2P lovers will support it. However some people in its current state don't think what its offering justify a P2P model.
Zenimax got 2months(or less) to get the game where they want it to be at.
Hopefully will fix the bug or w/e it is will be fixed.
Rift and Tera are two decent F2P MMOs.
RaiderZ would have been a decent MMO but it lacks content and Maiet has no intention making new content.
Maybe Johnathan was just trying to Blow smoke
Nope. I don't have any use for such a thing. Given my computer is not that far from my TV, I can use a hdmi cable if I ever want to hook it up.
This game will be a train-wreak in its current state. I honestly doubt Zenimax can get the game to where they want it to be in 2-3 months.
P2P model is turning a lot of folks away. They should've at least made it B2P with an optional P2P model. At least then more people would be willing to pay for the game.
Don't be surprise its just another hack group trying to make a name for themselves.
I've known Steam uses DRM since I created my Steam account. You're not telling me anything new.
However I was laughing the other day when LtSkittles started to jump down dedicatedtogamers' throat when it he stated Steam was a DRM. Ninteen people ended up disagreeing with dedicated over the statement.
"But due to always-online DRM, even the single-player portion of the game requires the servers to be up and running."
The benefits of always-online DRM.
I think some of their consumers done jump the ship and don't plan on coming back.
Why would they come back? Sony offer cheaper service, allow you access basic services without having to pay, access F2P without PSN+ and allow you to access service you already paying for without PSN+.
They should never had bundle Kinect with the X1 to start off.
Out of curiosity are you using Ubuntu or variant of Mac OS X?
You love PC gaming because a group figure out a way to get the WiiU gamepad to work on PC?
I figure someone would love PC gaming because of mod support, cheaper priced games and or high-end graphics.
Well first Microsoft need to learn how to appeal to Japan. For the last two generation they have been using the same tactic they used for their Western audience. What works in one area doesn't necessarily mean it work in another.
They need more than cutesy anime mascot and special promotions to appeal to them.
The game engine they are using to developer the game could be to blame for the poor textures.
