What you guys don't get is that OP is referring to the scenario of the game, not the gameplay.
Too bad those platforms are not suitable for serious gaming. If only OpenGL hadn't focused so much on legacy CAD stuff, it might be the standard graphics API, not Direct3d.
What do you hope to gain from double PCIe 16x? I certainly hope you don't expect any games to really send 8GBps over this bus...
Hahaha, yeah, your Photoshop stuff DEFINITELY requires an i7 platform. Good thing intel can count on uninformed people like you that buy their overpriced stuff.
WoW killed Everquest 1, not EQ2. EQ2 never really lived.
Yeah, and the fact that WoW is essentially (like most other current MMORPGs) an Everquest 1 clone...
Yeah, the first DLC pack was awesome, right? No, it was lackluster. Now, the second one they recently announced sounds a bit better. If they continue this course, they might yet satisfy their customers.
Also, I don't really think I can grow up more. Maybe you can show me how?
You fail to see how killing and taking the property of millions of people would help them to get out of poverty?
@LONEWOLF231: Your logic is impressive. Why should I have to upgrade my computer for a game that is supposed to run smoothly on crap hardware like you got in your console?
You will love Gothic 2. The first installment is a bit dated, but still fun, if you are used to playing older games. But Gothic 2 is just great.
Two Worlds didn't have problems per se, it was just a bit boring. The map was large (more space than Oblivion), there were lots of weapons and cool armor, but it somehow didn't quite manage to excite you enough. It felt a bit like a fantasy-sandbox instead of a real game.
What it has in common with those two is the eerie atmosphere. Otherwise, all three games are quite different, in terms of gameplay mechanics. But they are all great.
You got an unnecessary "free" in your statement.
Look, if L4D delivers for you, great. It's a good game, and I liked playing what's there. But it doesn't compare to a game like Modern Warfare, which was identically priced upon release, but took a lot more effort to develop and contains maybe 10 times more content.
You don't get it, huh? L4D lacks CONTENT. No matter how many bugs they fix, the game is still not worth the 50$ some people paid for it.
Too late...
@Marty8370:
Actually, businesses usually have to invest first, before they can profit, so your argument is kind of weak, spoken from a mere business perspective.
What? The first time black people are correctly represented in a game (brainless, ugly, running in mobs, hunting for human flesh), and someone shouts racism?
Just kidding, btw., I'm black myself.
I misread his post. I thought he said 2 years, which would be ridiculous, but in two generations, anything can happen.
Congratulation Mr. Capitalism. I guess you'd also pay 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, etc. $ for a game. Meanwhile, your worktime would grow and grow, the content in the games get less and less, the publishers fatter and fatter, but you'd still be happy to pay any price they demand.
You are nothing but a worker drone.
