20 minutes is fair, considering there are plenty other games that are NOT boring during those first twenty minutes. Of course, there is the possibility that the game gets better after those inital minutes, but a) this chance is pretty low and b) so what? Entertainment is not hard to find these days...

Well, if it's a really ugly door and there are plenty of other nice houses with good looking doors...

@Tony P: You are dodging my questions. But you seem still convinced that Oblivion and Fallout 3 are great RPGs, so you must either think a good story is not essential for a great RPG, or that they did indeed have good storytelling. You would be wrong in both cases.

@ Tony P: Disagree with what? That story is essential for an RPG, or that Oblivion and Fallout 3 had lackluster stories?

Now THAT is an RPG. Also check out the addon Mask of the Betrayer, if you want to experience an epic story about love, death, and vengeful dead gods.

@Tony P: Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 lack something central to a good RPG: story. Open Worlds are cool and all, but if all you can do there is kill 500 ogres or shoot 700 super mutants, the game doesn't classify as RPG according to my terms.

@fishd: Beyond good and evil is certainly a good game, but "Best game noone ever played" is reserved for Psychonauts.

@chaosatom: "The problem with a sequel is that it looks more of the same...Other games like GT5...GOW3".

Actually, it was a virtual work of art, but the gameplay was not what it was hyped to be.

Well, they will alienate PC players if they make their games look as "good" as the console versions. Simply no one will buy the PC versions. But this might be their goal anyway, to slowly but certainly shoo the PC players in the direction of a console. It certainly is the goal of M$.

Hmmm, you know, there is such a console, it's called PC.

Maybe you should check the rest of your computer, if a stable version of firefox keeps crashing every five minutes.

This you know what mode is also in firefox, you know.

I don't understand how you can surf without adblock, noscript, scrapbook and xmarks/mozilla weave.

Yeah, sad affair. Oh, well, I guess we'll unbury AvP2 for our next LAN-party.

They don't care for 10$ less, yes, and that's exactly it, because these 10$ every game transform themselves into a kick-ass PC-rig every two years.

Auto-aim is probably the biggest console-turnoff for me. I mean, why do you play a shooter if you don't want to aim yourself?

5836d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Even then, why would you trade in an open platform with theoretically unlimited upgradeability for a closed system with manufaturer dependance?

5836d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Most ppl buy more than 5 games a year, more like 1 every month.
