a completely underrated game that i personally really enjoyed. super fun, looks and runs great - my.experience was on the series x but i'm sure its gonna be a similar if not identical experience on ps5.
no dude. its really not. its basically pay to win and it sucks. they intentionally left this stuff turned off for the review embargos and flipped it on as soon as they had enough post launch hype. the last few gran turismo games have been met with lukewarm reception and criticicsms so it was important that gt7 changed that course. Many reviewers actually said their reviews would have been different if they had known then how it would have turned out.
you can still enjoy the...
i agree and i said the same thing both after the activation of microtransactions and again after the update.
I think GT7 is a great game and i do love it. its currently my favorite ps5 game, but its clear sony is officially trying to squeeze money out of all the things it and its loyal followers have criticized others for doing - but trying to pretend they aren't. i can't fault them for trying to earn money, they're a business and they haven't really altered...
Meh.
Meh. I have a ps5, but I’ll wait til it hits gamepass if it does. It’s a timed exclusive. Judging from a majority of the reviews tho, I can wait.
disagree.
But also:
“ The Haven acquisition will continue Sony's investment in live service and multiplayer games. ”
The chickens have come to roost
“The Haven acquisition will continue Sony's investment in live service and multiplayer games.”
Sony prepping for live service games. Same reason they bought Bungie.
Sony is prepping for its own live service games.
Good luck with that. Money makes the world go round. Even Sony now realizes they can’t make enough money simply selling $70 single player exclusives and not having a type of subscription service or mechanism to keep players engaged in a single title or service. It’s all about ROI (return on investment). Sure they have psnow but it’s treated as an afterthought and hardly an amazing value prop with it it’s current level of offerings.
Games are more expensive than ever to deve...
Meh. pc players often times have some superiority complex and love telling you how much better they are for being pc gamers so I’m ok letting them have to wait for something.
“… and also the Xbox versions has 3d audio too!”
yes, us Americans sure don't understand any other names... even tho GRRM is an American himself and we are one of the most ethnically/culturally diverse countries in the world...
what an ironically ignorant comment.
I hope you wear glasses when you drive bro, cuz its in there.
I love the game personally but this is one thing i was concerned about since day one…. Especially after reading the IGN review which basically says it makes buying cars and certain upgrades exceptionally hard with in game earned credits and also limits availability - all of which seem to want to compel the player to buy credits with real money - not unlike a pay to win strategy. I actually thought if enough people complained about it, they’d re-weight the purchases to make less grinding. It s...
I think a better way to think about this which the article clearly misses is managing one’s expectations on how much you can optimize a game that is well over a decade old. If you rebuild the entire game from the ground up that would be a remake or a reboot, not optimizing for a new generation. Also - you would basically just make that gta6. You don’t take your Toyota Corolla in for a new paint job and get disappointed when it’s not suddenly a Ferrari when you pick it up. For me personally th...
And streaming killed cds and cds killed tapes and tapes killed 8 tracks and 8 tracks killed vinyl and so on.
The thing this article doesn’t take into account is that not every game is a live service and even live service games could still have historical versions of every season they offer.
This feels more like a fear of change. The very thing younger generations get on to boomers about and so on.
Hard shrug on this one.
from what i've seen from unreal 5, it feels like the best choice for most open world games. hands down the best looking engine out there right now.
