DualSense is pretty cool, imo. This is something I hope Xbox picks up as well. It would only mean a higher probability of quality implementation for all games going forward. Returnal and Ratchet+Clank also made great use of DS.
if you play both the series x video and the ps5 video on the website at the same time and watch them both together, the series x verson looks noticeably sharper.
yeah its pretty bad. im not sure why this game was even released, honestly and how Remedy was even willing to let it out the door.
i feel like reviews are becoming polarized. reviews seem to be largely either perfect/amazing or in the 6s. makes reviews feel less authentic and more team sport. on the one hand this game seems to have a high bar for quality. on the other hand it seems to be the same old open world game loop im getting pretty burned out on.
Hope this is actually about the next gen launch and not just an update. I fully admit the game wasn’t ready for launch but I still enjoy it and have been looking forward to the next gen launch to play it as it was supposed to be.

Completely disagree and so do most of the reviews.
I downloaded this on GamePass and it is not great (thanks GamePass tho for letting me find out risk free). It feels half-baked and hungry for cash. The characters are your standard militia cliches, the graphics are kinda grainy, the responsiveness of the controls feels sluggish and the content is like as minimal as you can get to still be called a full release.

I think if you hoped they were going to make COD exclusive, you should only be upset with yourself. COD is too huge to make exclusive. It would be like buying a brand new Ferrari and then selling it for the price of a Kia. You can't just disappear all of that revenue and saturation in the video gaming market as a whole. This would be the same if it were Sony that purchased Activision too and the same reason Minecraft is still a multiplatform game. Sony will also follow suit with Destiny. ...

if the story is part of the review and a big part of the game, then yes. you wouldn't review a movie without finishing it...
Well, they can buy Xboxes for it now too… and why should we care about what console someone is playing a game on… last time I checked, you could still play Minecraft on PlayStation too even tho it’s owned by ms.
the idea is to end up with the ps5 version for cheaper, but if you wanna spend more money to end up in the same place I guess thats your prerogative
if you go into the playstation store and scroll all the way to the bottom there are buttons that break the games out into a ps5 section and a ps4 section

super cool. I have it pre-ordered. I mean this with honest and genuine love when I say I hope this release is better than the last few offerings. Gran Turismo has always held a soft spot in my heart since way back when, but just like Halo, I felt it started drifting into a place that didn't live up to expectations. It looks like its on track to right some wrongs tho and I am excited to play it.
i love my Series X, but "serviceable" feels generous on this one.
