It's just a shame the platform puzzle genre is so saturated now, because little gems like this will probably get overlooked by the majority.
How is this click bait garbage of an article allowed on the main banner of N4G as an opinion piece when others are removed?
Seriously that title is just plain dumb. With its bags of content, great production values and at the very least solid gameplay it's worth $10? Come on, be sensible.
Perhaps you could, you know, not play them side-by-side then? Mad Max is a great fun and very moreish game, compared to the seriousness and often depressing tones of MGS.
Mad Max is just a victim of its release window.
Enjoyable anecdote :) I remember the feeling of anxiety as that eel charged out of it's lair straight at Mario. Not sure it affected me quite as much as you, though!
Then make a decent game and charge us gamers once for it! See CD Projekt RED for how it's done properly.
Would confess to most of these, but not No.1. Never No.1. Pay-to-win is a scourge on society; an abomination that should be eradicated with extreme prejudice.
Exploding kittens brings out the worst in people - it's more brutal than Bloodborne
Thank-you! Though I assume of course you mean the sad lack of people following these etiquette pointers is why you aren't interested in most FPS games. Have you tried diving headlong into firefights and spouting unimaginative profanities to try to convert the non-believers?
That's a shining example of online multiplayer FPS etiquette. Hilarious, as well :D
Yes - excellent pointer! Always make sure you blame everything other than your own shortcomings for your deaths.
"Likewise, while most of the characters follow their own individual tropes, they are still fleshed out..."
Yeh, I'd say!
Only to date ;) They're going about things in the right way now I'd say.
Agreed, it's about time!
That Rokysopp video is awesome. Somebody needs to make that game happen!
Good read. I agree I'm not a huge fan of the regenerative health system whilst crouching behind a waist-high wall.
As the author says though on the flip side dying on old-school shooters and being left to face a tough section with no health packs could be incredibly frustrating.
Awesome video - great fun. Always great to see the music industry overlapping with the video game industry - more cross-collaboration FTW!
So many happy memories of flinging proximity mines around. Along with Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye was the pinnacle of proper multiplayer - with 3 mates sitting on the sofa in the same room as you.
Really like the sound of that articulated Ryu figure. Tempted!
Completely agree. It's not just the repetitive mechanics that have become stale now but the whole setting and premise. World at War deserves a sequel in my opinion.
That moment when Ganon's tower collapses on the stricken villain, only for Ganon in best form to burst from the rubble swinging those wicked blades. Epic Ocarina of Time moment in an epic game :)
