I don't blame Xbox One owners for not buying Rise of the Tomb Raider. Square Enix did Xbox One owners dirty by revealing the PS4 release date of ROTR before the Xbox version was even released. You don't do an entire fan base like that and then expect them to buy your game. If Xbox gamers thought the game was an exclusive they would probably been more apt to buy it, but since you were so worried about the PS4 fanboy backlash you ended up alienating potential Xbox buyers and that is bad...
Soo... who cares? Kojima is only really known for Metal Gear Solid. Who even knows if his new game will be any good esp. since now he doesn't have the backing of Konami. His game probably won't release for another 3 or 4 years anyway.

I was one of the people that watched it. They picked a perfect night, because nothing else was on TV, so I just streamed it through my Xbox. I think they must have advertised it more this year than in previous years or something, because I didn't tune in last year.
Why do Gamers act as if a game can only sell during its release week? Rise of the Tomb Raider just released in November and plenty of people are probably going to get it for Christmas. I'm one of those people who got 100% completion on the first Tomb Raider game and I just haven't had the opportunity to pick up the newest entry yet. This game looks like it could have been on PS Vita. I wonder why they opted not to bring the game to the handheld after its predecessor was on it. That being said, the game is looking good so far.
I personally thought the show was decent. I had it on in the background at home. It was nice to see footage of upcoming games that are releasing soon. It was also nice to get more info about VR which was something I wasn't really familiar with. Perhaps the show could be run better, but I'd miss a game awards show if there wasn't one. To me it was good advertising for games that I might not have known about that I might try in the future.
Do people even still want to play PS2 games? I mean nobody even cares that Xbox One can't play OG Xbox games. I could see wanting to go back 1 generation to play old games, but going back 2 generations seems stupid and then charging for it is even stupider. I mean it might have made sense to charge 15 bucks for PS2 games on the handheld PS Vita... but on PS4?
Smart move by Psyonix. Even though, PS4 is leading in console sales, the Xbox One still has a decent size user base and as a small company you don't want to miss out on that potential revenue esp. while Rocket League is still relatively popular.
I only buy digital if a game I like is on sale or only available digitally. But now that you have to install games on consoles, it almost doesn't matter whether you buy the physical or digital version.
They should have put it on sale during Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I would have bought it. But since there were so many other games on sale that I bought, those games will have my attention during the Holiday season. I know ROTR will be on sale next week but my money is already spent.
It may be dead on Xbox brand, but there hasn't really been any GREAT JRPGs on PS4 either. Outside of Persona, Final Fantasy, and Tales the genre is pretty much dying altogether and it is not very popular in America. I wish PS4 fanboys would stop acting like there are so many highly rated JRPGs on PS4 when in reality there are hardly any this gen on either console.

That's actually kinda surprising. I went to Best Buy on Thanksgiving to buy an Xbox One game and all the Xbox One games were pretty much sold out but they still had PS4 games left.
Thank You ShadowWolf12. That's exactly what I was saying. I'm not sure why that went over some people's heads. I'm guessing people missed the phrase (outside of that). Remote Play is seemingly designed for playing games on the go and it wouldn't make much sense to use remote play at a desktop , unless you have multiple houses and don't feel like lugging your PS4 around between the 2.
Would be cool to have remote play on a laptop. But outside of that I don't see a point to PC remote play.

Xbox One has the bigger AAA western exclusives. I don't really care about most of those low scoring Japanese exclusives that the PS4 gets like Sword Art Online:Lost Song, Dragon Quest Heroes, Samurai Warriors, Tales of Zesteria, etc. I'd much rather have Gears 4 and Quantam Break. Unless you are a huge Uncharted fan, you should get an Xbox One as PS4 has been lacking in the great blockbuster exclusives department as of late.
It's a big deal for me. That being said, Microsoft has done a terrible job at rolling out this backwards compatibility. I only have one or two games on that BC list and we still don't know exactly when they will add more games. It's stupid having to wait to play games you already own. It would have made more sense to release BC when a significant number of retail games were playable.
How about them Tearaway Unfolded sales? What's that? Crickets........ Game released in September and some estimates have it not even selling 100 thousand copies yet.
So yeah. It's not just Xbox exclusives that struggle.
