For your second example, that really doesn't have anything to do with pre-ordering. That has to do with season passes and DLC which you don't like
There's only one argument needed for this. Pre-ordering isn't anti-consumer because it is completely optional. That's all that needs to be said.

What proof do you have that Third Party isn't that big of a deal? Cause I think that is beyond ridiculous.
Most families in this world are going to have a single console system. That system is not going to be the WiiU if it doesn't have third party games.
Switch does have an advantage of being portable, so I expect it to do better than the WiiU. But don't tell me third party doesn't matter.
The images shown here to me are just a completely ridiculous comparison. The 2nd and 3rd comparisons are not even the same shots to compare. I see no graphical downgrade.
With that said, some of the other animations and comparisons made to ME1 in that same neogaf thread are quite troubling. I don't know if all those shots are from betas or what, but it has a lot issues apparently.
It doesn't take years to develop what is essentially only an incremental upgrade. This gen is already 3.5 years old. So, it certainly could be a reaction to Sony. After they saw they were getting slaughtered in the first 12, 18 or 24 months.... they knew they had to try something.
There is also a third game where the devs said they went all digital because they didn't wanted to do a physical release because they would have had to charge more for Switch.
3 devs who have the same concern in the first 2 weeks isn't insignificant.

If HZD is the most recent big time game with that system, it is a good comparison.
Sure they can set any price, but are they going to take a $10 loss (compared to other consoles) because of the cartridge?
The original Eurogamer article (which this site didn't even give a link too) provided at least two other specific examples.

Without third party support you're cutting out a lot of customers. So anyone who acts like that isn't important is clueless. Most people don't own multiple consoles.
