@Kavorklestein
Yes, there are many ways to look at numbers.
But 10 million straight up sales of a game is undeniably better than 10 million people playing a game on a service. You understand that right?
Now + plus is cheaper by far than UGP. So who cares if it comes together?
Now offers way more games by a hefty margin.
There was 5 years between 3 and 4... that's perfectly acceptable. Its already been 4 years since UC4. So, you want them to wait let's say another 7 years until 2027 for your stupid reasons?
Trying to dog Lost Legacy because it only got an 84 on Metacritic? I'm sorry is that supposed to be bad? Not even a full game. Let's ignore that UC4 got a 93 and was massive GOTY winner.
UGP would cost $180 a year.
PSNow and PS+ separately would only be $120 a year. What's the big deal if there was a single bundle or not?
Why do game developers think they have a right to increase the price of games? What? They can try to sell their games for whatever the hell they want.
If the base price of games goes up, you can expect that that GP pricing will go up as well.
No offense but the opposite is true. You all have stupid arguments against the price rises.... here's 2 that I've heard:
1) Gaming is so much bigger now than it was in the past. Is it? What proof? Past generations sold more consoles than current gen.
2) Microtransactions. Yes, that helps. But most games do not have microtransactions. Some publishers abuse it obviously.
You all are focusing on some big name companies. That doesn&...
Stop talking about 30 years ago. Last gen was not any bigger than previous gen. Total console sales went down thanks to X1 being terrible. Price bump was due.
Well for one if you think that all games are going to become $70 and GamePass price isn't going to change... think again.
UGP is not worth $15 a month. Gold games have become a joke to make it even worse.
I've had it since last May and I have my subscription paid for through March 2023 through their promotions and giveaways, which I only paid about $100. There is no way in hell I'd have paid $720 for that.
Microsoft has in...
Microsoft has already started with shenanigans with their titles. All their games are included Day 1.... however they are packed with DLC and loot boxes crap you can buy... none of which is free. Minecraft Dungeons... wow cool a $20 game for free. 1 month later is the first update, which you have to pay for.
That is the future of GamePass.
@chief...the article clearly states
"The Last of Us: Part II’s sales did decrease 80 per cent week-on-week, although this is common for releases with enormous debuts; Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End suffered a similar decline of 78 per cent in its second week. It’s worth stressing that all of this data accounts for physical sales only; we don’t have access to digital sales, but we do know that The Last of Us: Part II is Sony’s fastest-selling game ever globally."
Here's your problem Foxtrot. Yes, you are entitled to your own opinion and you shouldn't get hate for it.
But you..
#1 Never played the game. Which right away is bullshit for you to have an opinion. No one should have an opinion based on leaks with limited facts.
#2 You were literally in every single TLOU2 hating on the game. Speaking as if your opinion was the holy grail. That is pure hate for something even if you did ...
Xbox fan boys must be so confused, their savior calling TLOU2 a great game.
Microsoft has bought plenty of studios in the past. Then they run them into the ground.
So nothing has changed until they actual produce good games.
You can blame them sure, but the gamers are to blame. They're the ones buying these things. Rockstar is a business, they'll go for whatever makes the big money.
No no no, don't forget Sony paid $1000 for each positive review.
Microsoft failed this generation in the exclusive department. Phil Spencer was in charge of their games before he took over. No excuses there.
If you post a review for a game you never played - That is a fake review.
Is that hard for you to understand?
It goes both ways as well, many of the positive user reviews are fake. However it is clear that this game is getting review bombed with bad reviews.
The controversy is fake reviews.
It matter when a game is free as part of a service versus you have to buy the game. Do you get that?
