No, he did not say that. He said they would support the PS4 for 3 or 4 years. That is not the same as putting out their first party titles for 3 or 4 more years. They produced and support PS3 into 2017, but they did not keep releasing their own games on it that whole time.
Just a bunch of babies crying. There were going to be limited preorders. Millions were going to miss out no matter what. If you were adamant about getting a preorder you would have been watching or listening to the news for the event yesterday. Obviously the millions who did order were paying attention.
Will someone explain to me why people keep calling these "enhanced versions"? Where was that ever said? Unless they said that specifically, what we are probably going to get is just the regular versions of these games thanks to the backwards compatibility. Yes the game will probably operate more smoothly and loading probably faster thanks to the SSD... but I don't think they patched these games in any special way.
You're not the only one who has said this, but where is this "enhanced version" stuff coming from? The showcase/trailer said nothing about that. Did they say they were enhanced in some blog or interview?
I would imagine if they are patching these games with enhancements, it would be backwards compatible with PS4 versions as well. Well I would hope.
Why do these sites keep saying "Game Pass" style? No, this is PS Plus. The same as has always been. They were doing this way before GP existed. These games will be in your collection as long as you subscribe.
I'm disappointed. I agree with their original stance. We've never seen a cross-gen game truly have profound differences. So, I'll be surprised if we see it hear. Yes, there will be some differences, but I can't imagine any ground breaking.
If they only do this for a few launch games, I'll be okay with that since production will be limited. But if they try to do what Microsoft said they will do, which is release all their games cross-gen for 2 years....

Microsoft gives away all of their new titles for free. They've paid tens of millions of dollars to third party companies to have their games on GP. Microsoft has ADMITTED GamePass is not profitable currently.
How in the world are you comparing that to Sony giving away LAST GEN games that have already sold tens if not over a 100 million copies already?

This Plus thing has nothing to do with that. All Plus subscribers will get those games for free with their subscription.

Just what exactly is this guy needing to convince himself? Sony announced sequels for multiple GOTY winners that will be ready within the first year. PS4 had nothing like that at all.
