You're so backwards about 4K. You're right Sony knew about it, but what they knew was it wouldn't be adopted fast. It has low adoption now in 2017, let alone in 2013. If Pro cost $400 in 2016, it would have cost over $500 easy in 2013 and that would have been a big mistake.
Otto, he's basically saying the NES Classic is for people who don't want to pay $300 for a Switch and then the fee that will be required for their online service. Kind of obvious.
You're writing as if it is a fact that PS5 will have BC. This artile is just Michael Pachter making his predictions based on absolutely no information. Maybe it will have it in the end. Even if it does, it really isn't that big of a turnaround. Sony had BC on PS2 and PS3. They didn't do it on PS4 because it would have been costly and it wasn't worth it. If PS5 is similar architecture to PS4, then BC will be easier and there is a chance they will do it without sacrificing...
And PS4 is the closest currently. PS3 was the closest before that. PS5 will be the closest when it comes out?
Get my point? The newest console generally is the most powerful (aside from Nintendo). Doesn't mean Microsoft did anything special.

You seem to be getting annoyed as if you know something. The Pro isn't going to affect their their next console. They aren't going to expect those who bought the PS4 years ago to be stuck with that until 2021 and they aren't going to expect us to get the Pro to hold out.

I don't see how they are wrong for using the offered promotion. GameStop made a mistake making their promotion too good and overlapping multiple promotions.

What makes you think devs are going to take advantage of X1X? Your comment about best development kit is based on what? Because Phil Spencer said so? You've never used them.
Did I say there weren't differences? No, I didn't. Do you know what the term "night and day" means though? It means there is a very large difference, essentially a complete opposite. That certainly doesn't apply. The difference between 900p vs 1080p is notificeable, but it certainly isn't night and day.
We've also yet to see any games show the true power of the X1X compared to any Pro versions.

If there's a night and day difference, then there must have been for base PS4 vs X1 (PS4 30% more powerful like like the X1X is).... but we know it never showed in third party titles.
