This is very odd... Where on Earth are these people getting their sales data? Microsoft and Sony have only released their numbers for Q1 (Jan - Mar) 2011. Microsoft reported sales of 2.7 million Xbox 360 units:

and Sony reported sales of 2.1 million PS3 units:

"Superior Visuals"
Really? I never would have guessed that Skyrim would have better visuals than Oblivion, a 5 and a half year old game...
Cool beans.
"there are about 3 or 4 in the current list of DLC trophies that are absolutely *impossible* to accomplish unless you boost"
Yeah, "Compulsive Liar" anyone?
It's a shame this is all the same footage from E3. The only difference is Todd Howard isn't talking over it. I expected new footage!
Todd Howard himself...
Ooh, September 20th? Might not get to play it for a few months with that release date because of a certain game coming out the same day.
Yawn.
Both.
I could read Top # lists all day. I love them so! Top 10 Games, Top 7 Consoles, Top 9 Sequels, Top 200 DLCs, Top 15 Games with Black Protagonists... keep them coming!
GT5 is the highest selling sim this gen because it is part of a far more established franchise than Forza that goes back to the PS1 days. Also, there hadn't been a full GT game in half a decade. Not because it doesn't have a rewind feature, LOL...
True. This new MotionScan technology is what takes up all the space.
I have definitely heard this before that the cut content would not have fit on one Blu-Ray disc. It is not something brand new they are just saying now.
Oh, but it is a sim and it is the highest rated sim of this console generation. Two of its installments are actually.
But the game is very short and there is almost no replay value aside from collecting a few eggs. It is the shortest Xbox LIVE Arcade game I have ever played. It was a great experience, but it should not be more than $10.
Still $15 though? Lame! It wasn't even worth that much when it was fresh and new a year ago.
Even if they do, I bet MW3 will still outsell Black Ops.
Saints Row 2's driving physics were sooo archaic. It felt like going back to a PS2 game. No sense of realism or weight whatsoever. A very shallow experience.
GTA IV's driving was deep, satisfying, unique, and rewarding. And the procedural damage modeling was superb.
And just imagine if Microsoft had been the one to do it. We would NEVER, EVER hear the end of it! There sure is a LOT of hypocrisy here on N4G.
The gap has only increased since Kinect's release. By 600,000 units alone in the first fiscal quarter of 2011, according to Sony and Microsoft's official financial reports. And Microsoft has already doubled sales of their previous console with the 360 and stolen an enormous chunk of Sony's market share. The PS3 has been an absolutely failure after the PS2's domination last gen. The PS3 is struggling to even tie for second place, while last gen the PS2 outsold the competition c...
