You've just got to hand it to the guys at Rockstar. GTA IV's Liberty City is BY FAR the most meticulously detailed city in any open world game. The game's natural detail combined with this mod create these beautiful nearly-photorealistic images. Now you could stick a mod like this on another open world game like Saints Row, but it would still look like crap.

Well then let's report the worldwide numbers right here and see what happens. :D

FIRST HALF 2011
360: 4.4 million
PS3: 3.9 million
Wii: 2.92 million

Q1 2011
360: 2.7m ( http://www.destructoid.com/...
PS3: 2.1m (

@Kur0: Who is ignoring worldwide sales? This article is about North American sales and that is what is being discussed. But oh well, if we really need to bring worldwide sales into it, then here they are:

FIRST HALF 2011
360: 4.4m
PS3: 3.9m
Wii: 2.92m

A true gamer's game. Couldn't ask for more. Gears 3 is going to rock!

Why do you believe the PS3 will be ahead of the 360 by next year? According to Sony & Microsoft's financial reports, the 360 has outsold the PS3 worldwide for the first half of 2011, and the 360 is usually strongest in the second half of the year.

GTA IV is by far my favorite game of this console generation. The sheer amount of detail put into the game is astonishing. No game even comes close in that regard. It is one of the few games that is over 3 years old that I still go back and play very regularly. It is a technical marvel and a true masterpiece. 98 on Metacritic, dozens of GOTY awards, 20 million+ sales, and still the 5th most played game on Xbox LIVE... all well deserved.

I assumed the people standing up and making X's with their arms were people AGAINST the Xbox 360, most likely PC fans. The X's were meant to signify disapproval.

I used to trust VGChartz, but I stopped when they undertracked the 360 by 200,000 units in North America alone for June. Outrageous!

I have already lost all faith in mankind. And apekind too.

Let me just say that there is a LOT more to the game than "lifting sand and putting it over water". I'll leave it at that.

When I go that article, my brains tops working and I have no idea what I'm looking at or what I'm supposed to be seeing.

"all of which was showering microsoft with praise while damning sony for everything they did or released on the ps3."

Hey, that sounds like the exact opposite of how 90% of the N4G community operates! What a coincidence.

Five things GTA V needs to compete with Saints Row? Hell, Saints Row: The Third won't even be able to compete with GTA IV, let alone GTA V.

I'll be using my $20 credit to get Skyrim for $40.

Yeah. I pre-ordered it about 2 months ago when I first saw this $20 credit, thinking it would be for a limited time.

GTA IV at #5 over 3 years after its release. Look at those legs!

I won't know how good all these games will be until I've played them, but from past experience and a little look at the history of their franchises, I'm guessing that these will be the 5 highest rated games of the rest of 2011:

1. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
2. Gears of War 3
3. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
4. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
5. Forza Motorsport 4

Skyward Sword has to be in there because vir...

What possible reason would there be to bring up Microsoft on this article other than to start arguments?
