I don't know about Nintendo, but Microsoft's first Xbox was not successful enough to keep supporting. The PS2, much like the Xbox 360, is a powerhouse, and I'm sure Microsoft will continue to support the 360 when their next console releases. You have to question the sanity of anyone who thinks Saints Row is better than GTA IV, the second highest rated game of all-time. GTA IV is literally light years ahead in every category from graphics and physics to gameplay and storytelling.

Current pre-orders for Gears of War 3 in the Americas are 874,000.
Modern Warfare 3 is sitting at 355,000 pre-orders with the 360 and PS3 versions combined.
So yes, it is currently the most pre-ordered game. It is FAR outpacing where Black Ops and Halo: Reach were this far from their release as well. Gears is a sales beast! By far the best-selling new exclusive IP of this console generation.

Apparently Turn 10's experimentation with Kinect has inadvertently led to them vastly improving the graphics and lighting engine in the game.
Imagine if someone at Microsoft poked fun at Sony. You guys would be jumping all over it and bashing Microsoft to no end. It's okay if its Sony poking the fun though, right?
Your argument falls apart when you look at the fact that they had more core games for the 360 at their press conference than Sony had for the PS3.

Obviously core gamers do not hate Kinect. It is only the fanboy extremists at places like N4G that have such hatred towards it. Go to any sane, non-biased online video game community and you can see for yourself.

How is that even comparable? People are angry that they won't have access to the same weapons in online play in BF3, potentially making the game unfair or unbalanced.
PS3 and 360 gamers don't play cross-platform against each other, so how is MW3 DLC for the 360 only directly affecting PS3 owners?
I don't believe it. The Xbox 360 just came off of its most successful year yet and its outselling both of its direct competitors so far in 2011 with next to no exclusive games. Also, Kinect has breathed new life into the system and is bringing in millions of new customers. With all the support they are pouring into the 360, with Kinect and all these new features being added to Xbox LIVE, this is simply not the time to announce a new console.

It's nice to see Forza Motorsport 4 and Gears of War 3 in the list. Definitely gotta agree with "Best Multiplayer". I am so hyped for Gears 3. Wow! It's turning out to be one of the most improved sequels I've ever seen. That extra year of development is really helping it out. Only Skyrim tops it on my list of most anticipated games, but it's a REALLY close call.

The 53 million number was after Jan. - Mar. 2011. The 55 million is an updated number since we are now in June.
The PC version is first, not the PS3 version!
