I think the answer is that new app. the only that uses your iphone or ipad to remote play your ps4 games, It'll take some time of course, but I think that's what is going to replace dedicated handhelds.
Well to be fair, I don't know anyone who expected sunset overdrive to do well as an xbox exclusive. Everything about that game screamed "I belong on playstation".

Well there's a point he's not making. without the competition I doubt we'd see things like the IGC/GWG, achievements, and the like.
And honestly I don't know if games like the last of us and halo would exist if the big two weren't duking it out for our money.

Yes, well, Sony did good and bad with that. they did force MS to create GWG and take away the paywall for Netflix, hulu and the like. however they also jumped right on the paywall for multiplayer.
