Actually you are stretching it. I wasn't saying the xbox is a doorstop. My point was that by stretching the definition of redundant, ANYTHING has a use and therefore the word redundant shouldn't even exist. So by your logic, I could smash your 1X with a sledge hammer and you still wouldn't call it redundant because you can use it to prop a door open. You're just clinging on to the word "useful" because it's the only thing that leaves your point standing. It...
That comes down to personal preference. like me, I prefer the built in option from the two choices offered. Thing is MS is so close to what I'd consider ideal. simply include the battery from the play and charge kit standard on each xbox and boom, best of both worlds. But asking an additional $25... that's a bit too much for me.
Maybe in that one little store. But I remember the original xbox one and PS4 launch. It took weeks to get a xbox on and months, to get a PS4. Recently Switch was incredibly hard to get as well.
X1X and PS4 Pro were no where near that kind of demand. And taht's fine, thee are upgrades, not brand new console gens.
Yeah... I've decided not to support EA anymore. sucks as they have some of my favorite franchises, dragon age, mass effect, dead space, etc. but they've either killed or ruined all of them. So even Im interested in any new releases from them, I'll be getting them used and of course, MT or dlc
Yeah, you're stretching that definition quite a bit. technically you can find a use for anything, even as a door stop. Again, the 1X is not needed because a PC does everything it can, plus more. And in the situation you described, a simple $10 HDMI switch is FAR more practical than a $500 console that's far more limited.
Again, redundant, but not irrelevant.
@ tank Not really. that's not what it means to be redundant. If there are 2 devices, and device A does everything device B does, plus more. Then device A is redundant. Doesn't matter if you prefer to use it this way or that. Fact is you have the option to use it the same way. If you want to use it both ways, that just means you want two, or don't want to switch back and forth. And even without that, if you genuinely need to play on both, you can still get another PC and no...
@zero, sorry man but you're the worst kind of gamer. xbox games being on PC doesn't matter because MS still makes money? Gamers should look out for each other, not their favored corporation.
Speaking of which, Don't give me that "wait until Sony does it" BS. We've been down this road before. Remember around launch, you guys were saying the same line, "wait Sony will do DRM too, you'll see." and what happened? Sony and xbox fans spoke out ...
It's just a case of being all they really have to get hyped about. They need to generate buzz on something. granted you're right, put CD3 in the playstation lineup and it'd be just another Sony game in a long list of games. but from the xbox point of view, it's the only real big title they have so all the hype gets placed on it. Add on cloud hype that was supposed to be all over the place on multiple games, but gets segregated to just CD3.. and well that's why it gets...
boooo
Honestly, 500 would of been fine but people would have complained. But yeah, keep the price down with a smaller HDD and if you want more, Amazon is there. If I were buying one, I'd be more upset about the AA batteries than HDD space. And even that is more an annoyance than a "tragic flaw".
You bring up this exact same point every time ubisoft releases this info. people keep explaining to you why yet you keep pushing that same theory.
Here are some of the replies you got last time:
from me: Not that I'm an analysist, but I'm sure there's quite a bit more to it than that. for instance, Ubisoft makes games primarily for a western audience, IE NA and EU, and the console sales race is much tighter in those territories, closer to 50/50 than 67...
nice.
remake would be better. maybe take out the fishing and farming...
The opportunity cost matters a lot more for me.
"beast" is overhyping, sure. But MS should be commended for what's under the hood of the X. Doesn't live up to the uncompromised 4K stuff they were screaming from the mountain tops. But for the price being asked, it's amazing the specs you get. They're just lacking on what you'll be able to use those specs on, and that lack of games you can't play elsewhere, for me, is the primary reason to not buy an xbox one.
those are fanboys, not fans. Only a fanboy would feel bad about another gamer enjoying a system that they don't approve of.
Not cool. I'm not sure who's at fault. but the gamers that put down good money to be the first to get their console and they should have gotten it today. If this is Amazon selling more consoles than they had, shame on them. f they were promised a certain amount by now but only got a portion allocated to them, shame on whomever made that promise.
I hope those affect get something out of it. I mean the whole point of a pre-order is making sure you get your product before a...
My mistake, I read that original post wrong. I missed "software" but still, I wouldn't use the word debatable, more subjective
A couple things Wooly. You're looking at it as grand totals, from that view point, yes the PS3 took a while to catch up, but that's lacking a HUGE amount of context. most notably the full year's headstart of sales. When the PS3 launched, comparing month to month individually, the 360 couldn't keep up with the PS3. And by the end, even with a whole extra year's worth of sales, the 360 only managed to get close to a tie. I know you guys love xbox, but the 360 isn't ...
@blitz well there was a time when the 360 was selling more than the wii and PS3 combined. Of course those other two consoles hadn't released yet. but technically speaking MS did hold the lead for a while there.
