care to list some of those cons you mentioned? I just saw a lot of "government is scary and I don't like them".
Do you know what the summer of love was? when those big companies divided up the country and agreed to stay out of each other's territory? Government and regulations had nothing to do with that. It was pure deregulated capitalisim. They can compete with each other, but did the numbers and decided a live and let live approach was more profitable.
Net neutrality is exactly the kind of regulation that works. It basically tells them hands off the internet. It makes your website...
you get the max now ghost. You'd be paying more to get back up to the speed you're currently using. That's what net neutrality prevents. You pay for 50 megs, you get 50 megs, not just 50 megs on certain sites.
@S2K net neutrality basically means leave the net alone. All sites get treated equally with no fear of slow down or such. The ISP's want that gone so that they can charge you for a gamer package or a streaming video package etc. They will also be able to go to Netflix and say "we'll make your site faster than hulu if you pay $X". then go to hulu with the same deal. Nobody wins with net neutrality gone except the verizons of the world. Funny fact the guy leading the ch...

Ok, and how many third party games did horizon outsell? Again third party games out number sony exclusives by a wide margin. Think of it like this, If I have 5 games as a publisher and the total released games for the year number over 500. and all my games break the top 50. I'd say I'm doing pretty good by banking on my 5. just because there are 10, 15, or even 20 games that sell more than my top seller doesn't mean my 5 games don't matter much. they still out sold 90% ...
Your call, but keep in mind PC gaming is cheaper. you'll save that money by not having to pay for xbox live, plus PC games themselves are a lot cheaper, you can always find deals even at launch. Plus, steam sales, plus mods, plus more games. That is unless you just have a personal preference to game on xbox, but if the deciding factor for you is price, PC still wins out. It's just if you want to pay a higher initial price or pay more over time.
It's really not. Here's the thing, third party games are the top sellers, sure. But they're also the lowest sellers. How many 3rd party games have sold more than uncharted 4? compare that to how many third party games have been released total. People forget the sheer volume of third party games compared to exclusives. So if the average games picks up 10 games and 1 or 2 are exclusives, that's still 2 games, 10-20% of their annual library that they are giving up just to sa...
UHD is in the one S as well, so not that big a selling point for people to upgrade to the X, plus the reviews on Xbox's uhd bluray player aren't good. problem is, aside from a power boost, the one X doesn't really bring anything to the table. We'll have to wait until after the initial sales rush to see if casuals pick some x1x's up. Personally, I don't really see that happening.
People are viewing the 1X as MS's attempt at being a game changer but it wa...
Your loss. Nab you an xbox controller and use steam's big picture mode and it's virtually the same experience, just with more games, ...and mods, ... and free online.
get a PC instead, far more games.
@ cyborg, you say that like it's a bad thing. Xbox putting all their games on PC is the only reason I own a Pro. Thanks to a gamestop trade in promo, I got $150 for my xbox one and $200 for my PS4, meaning I only spent $50 for a PS4 Pro. And since I have a gaming PC, I'm not missing out on anything MS comes out with. If I had to spend anymore than $100, I wasn't going to upgrade. so Thanks MS! You making xbox redundant helped me to get a pro.
Seriously? This is great news!
@Kun As can he or anyone, all with no need to buy an xbox.
@343 But I can still play all those multiplats on PS4. The difference is xbox is asking you to pay $500, a full $100 more than the competition. And what do you get for that extra $100? LESS games and a resolution bump that the vast majority won't even be able to notice.
No, it's not. You need to have them labeled to tell the difference. That or have someone like digital foundry zoom way in and point it out for you. I guarantee you if I put the images up side by side with no labels you'd be guessing which is which.
Actually, they'd play on everything.
Soon as I saw the headline I thought, "that sounds like something someone without a good deal of exclusives would say." Sure enough, xbox fan site.
Damn, getting wolfenstein 2, persona 5, evil within 2 and injustice 2 all for less than $100. I shadow of war also, but because of my stupid principles about MT I'm getting that one used.
@silly, it's actually a valid point. think abt. you use that same logic then xbox gamers should be content with their lack of exclusives. It's only when they see how much Sony gamers get that they see how much they're missing out on with barely anything in response. Same applies here. Sony gamers should be upset that xbox gamers are getting far and away better deals.
I mean xbox gamers got jealous of PS+ games and got GWG. PS gamers got jealous of achievements and ...
The government is reducing internet intake? Do you know what net neutrality is?
