PS now is a rental service for games. games as a service is where the games themselves are the service. there's a difference between paying a monthly fee for access to bunch of games and buying a full priced game then having to continuously cough up more money to keep playing it without getting a lesser experience.
Don't defend microtransactions. Cheerleading stuff like that will kill what is obviously one of your favorite hobbies. Shouldn't matter that xbox chose thi...

@kill bill. It's 5 million through 2018, not in 2018. Meaning from launch until December 2018 there will be 5 million ps4 pros sold.

I think from here on out (with maybe Nintendo being the exception), launch consoles are just going to come with trials of plus and live and those will give access to games you can play for a bit.

damn, I had yakuza 0 on suspend/ resume. I hadn't saved in a couple hours.
oh well. Gotta beat up Mr shakedown again.

made me chuckle.

Skimming through, I think the difference is if you want regular ps4 content in 4K while the PSVR is hooked up or if you want PSVR HDR content. If they sold the breakout box separately, I don't see why PS4 games and streaming content couldn't be HDR. But the cabling hard wired to the headset would make PSVR content a no go in HDR unless you buy one of the new models.

Likewise. we need more xbox fans like you that'll hold MS's feet to the fire. It's really the only way they'll step their game up. Unfortunately the hole they dug themselves... that'll take a few years to get back to top form.

good talk man.

Yeah, not so much "xbox games" more "games available on xbox".

No no, I hear you. I had a similar experience but from a playstation point of view. I've always been a playstation guy ever since I abandoned the N64 for a PS1 just to play FF7. Then the 360 came out, I got it primarily for Mass effect as well as some other titles, and got a PS3 shortly after. And the 360 blew me away. First and only time thus far I preferred a console that didn't have that "PS" logo on it. Not to mention the PS3 had a ton of issues, much like the X1 h...

So 1 and 4 are essentially the same, that being the 1X is more powerful. More power is good, but that alone only counts for so much. Even the 1X enhanced tombraider can't stand up to the standard PS4's uncharted 4. Basically I can give a 5 star chef a pork chop from walmart while giving my neighbor a prime cut of kobe beef and the pork chop will still end up being the better meal. So how the power is used also plays a role, and with the power gap between the standard PS4 and 1X, I...

@kionic, a better value for your money. A machine that never promised "true uncompromised 4K" then couldn't deliver.
no one's doubting the X is more powerful, they just don't like being lied to about how much more powerful, only to get a "up to the devs" cop out.

A bigger blow to replayability for me is the back log. But trophies work hand in hand with that for me. Because of my schedule I don't have nearly as much time for games as I used to. But I like trophy hunting. So with trophies and the back log together, I tend only go for platinums on two types of games, meaty ones that I really get into (witcher, horizon etc) and smaller, indie titles that have fun mechanics and stories that I enjoy and can bang out in a couple days (masquerada, tra...

Yeah you're right, let's preemptively bash on them before they even say anything. that'll show how reasonable we are!
I am looking around me. I don't see any of them. All I see is you trying your best to pretend they're on their way and so out of control. Been over two days now. Soon this article won't even allow for comments anymore. Safe to say, you were wrong.

no compromises... how many of those are running at 30 fps? that sounds like they compromised the framerate to get to 4K.
true 4K, how many new titles coming out aren't native 4k? Assassin's creed, anthem, etc. Almost all the major titles releasing are checkerboard, upscale, or dynamic...
When confronted on any of this, they backtrack to "up to the devs."
You like xbox? great, then don't let them do this to your favored platform. don't d...

Based on specs alone, 1x. value proposition, ps4 pro.

well you went out of your way to goad them and got nothing. so....
I understand smacking them around when they come up with some outlandish demand or something but to actively go out seeking them to have an argument? surely you can find a better use of your time.

11 hours ago and still waiting. Maybe it's time to give the SJW and anti SJW stuff a rest.
