They don't care about what gamers want. they care about what gamers are willing to put up with.
@woolly
"Well.. you can also say it took Sony ~4 years to produce one 'new' 1st party game."
No, you can't. At least not without being factually incorrect.
Semantics really, in todays gaming space, xbox isn't needed to play any new games. multiplats are obviously available elsewhere and since xbox put all their exclusives on PC, there's no true need for an xbox. You're talking more personal preference. And that's entirely valid, but unless you're talking about an old one off like sunset overdrive, you don't really need an xbox today to access any games. but like I said, just semantics, we're talking about luxury i...
Hoping this one goes on sale for black friday
was a fun read though. "pay to win? absolutely genious!"
Not supposed to be that loud. Make use of that warranty and nab a new one.
not triggered, just rolling my eyes at you.
They know who they're talking about. And I'm sure they've made the calculation that they can afford to tick off the arm chair devs while banking on casuals and the whales among them to still sell millions.
You underestimate the casual. the causal gamer isn't on here, probably doesn't give MT a second thought, just buys when they think something is cool. and it's not a big deal because they only buy the biggest of games, COD, battlefield, battlefront, and the like.
EA is counting on us being fans of MT, they're counting on the overwhelming majority of gamers being casuals that are indifferent about them, and buy a few MT here and there while they are hunting for whale...
SJW? really? you find a way to bring that nonsense into even this?
Second hand is fine, just stay away from the MT and dlc and they won't see a dime.
apart from this being an obvious scam.... it seems legit.
@black tar and jack B. That's kinda the point of the joke. The only time xbox can claim the lead is when it doesn't have anyone to compete against.
But isn't acquisition by EA the same thing as bye bye respawn?
Some people are getting a big check. good for them. but for the people who actually do the work to make the games, directly and indirectly, I'm sure they're not going to see any of that big EA purchase check, just their regular paychecks will come from EA now. and for those people, Yes. it's a very big deal. Those people have families, bills to pay, and they just got signed up with a company that's known for shutting down studios.
Then for gamers it's a big ...
Yes, but what if it came in a green box with the xbox logo on it?
I dunno about that second point. That's what everyone was saying about the 1S. why get that when the Scorpio is just around the corner? then boom, the 1S sells like crazy for a good 4 months, even beating PS4 on NPD. So not everybody, but there's a decent sized chunk of gamers that will want the latest and greatest regardless of what's in the pipeline.
screams of clickbait so I won't bite and go to the site. but I will say xbox may losing the sales race by a wide margin, being out sold 2:1 is no joke. But keep in mind the PS4 probably needs just 1 more year to outsell the PS3. While the X1 might not be outselling the 360, it's still in the same ballpark. So "save" is the wrong word to use.
How can a game that's not even out yet win game of the year?
