I think all that new platform talk is just to try and reduce the sticker shock. I mean in terms of it being an accessory vs a new platform how is it different than the Kinect? If you bought a Kinect game but didn't have a Kinect you couldn't play it. You can't just buy a Kinect without the console and play Kinect games. @ lunatic: it's seen as a disaster because people are comparing it to the PS4's numbers while acting like the PS4 is selling well, but in reality it's a sales juggernaut. Remove the PS4's numbers from the equation and compare it to last gen and Wii U, and suddenly X1 looks like massive success. It's just the PS4 sales are astronomical.
I doubt the majority of the negative tweets come from actual hate, most likely just some fanboys or trolls.

The only positive for me with save points dying would be that I have a wife two kids and a job. Sometimes I want to just play for bit and make it to the next checkpoint and shit it down. Save points kinda take that away. BUT with suspend/resume, that argument has become moot. So my opinion has shifted to apathy. A game can have them or not, I don't care so much as I care about having great time playing the game.
Not necessarily. I can have more fun playing a game like Mario Kart, but still see the last of us as superior. I'd argue that titles like the last of us and bioshock etc. don't really aim for "fun" It's more about story, characters, conveying a message, immersion and such. Mario kart is a ton more fun than the last of us, but I'd not rank it above a game like Witcher for my choice of which game is better.

Witcher gets my vote. Though to be fair, try as I might, I just don't like Bethesda's games. I get that others love them, just not for me.

I don't care about online stuff so that's a moot point. The few times I go online I don't really notice a vastly superior experience either way, but then again, I might not be on there long enough to have an informed opinion. I'm more of a playstation gamer anyway, that and I prefer the DS4, leaves not much reason to go with an X1 version of game like this.
