Actually, the blind followers would be Kinect fanboys. Move WORKS as advertised, unlike Kinect.
The kind of 1:1 tracking I experience whenever I play Sports Champions is the kind of motion control no other console device could replicate including the Wiimote with motion+. Move is the best motion control solution currently on the market. It is that good.
I could only imagine what sort of gaming innovations a talented 1st party dev like Naughty Dog or Team Ico could come up with if they were to design a Move only game from the ground up.
As long as Sony's team keep supplying me with Move games, I don't care much for 3rd party stuff.
I own all three consoles, trust me Move is definitely unique. Wii motion plus is great, but imagine Wii motion+ that also tracks the z-axis. That's what Move is, a 1:1 xyz-axis motion control that also does augmented reality. Sports Champions table tennis and gladiator duel is what made me a believer.
My right shoulder and biceps tendon were hurting real bad after the first 4 hour gladiator session. My right arm is toughening up, I don't get soreness anymore. Gladiator is a hardcore fighting game disguised in casual graphics.
Yes, Tumble is fun! Especially considering my wife and guest were only playing the demo multiplayer! I'm gonna buy the full version soon.
My guests love the Move, gals love Tumble, guys love ping-pong and gladiator. Even my wife who hates games loves Tumble. The price is well worth the entertainment value. Looking forward to The Fight and Sorcery!
Yes, when are people going to realize playing 1:1 games with move is not like wii waggling. 1:1 tracking is a benefit to hardcore gamers while a detriment to casuals.
The video shows the person playing the game. It's about halfway thru the video. That guy has never seen a boxing match in his life! If you could mimic a pro boxing athlete (doing things as close to real boxers as you could) you should have no problem playing. Of course provided the game is free of glitches.
The person playing does not snap back after throwing punches. That's not how you do boxing. Look at him! He lets his fist linger a second after each punch. You're not supposed to keep your arm extended like that. The person playing makes the game look worse than it actually is.
I wish your player character is transparent while keeping his fists opaque. That way you could see your opponent without obstruction. Please let this be optional!
Now, if the f...
Yeah, damage based on the speed of your swings is totally hardcore! My biceps tendons hurt!!! Can't stop playing Gladiator though :)
I was a bit disappointed with the Move control setup. It's like RE4 whereas I was hoping for a bounding box type of aiming like in Killzone 3. I wanted to use the Move to turn the camera and the character.
Fortunately I am enjoying Gladiator Duel using two Moves, I don't care much for RE5 anymore :)
You're right, more accurate motion controls mean more possibilities in gameplay ideas. Move is gonna be a success.
Sony's 1st party continues to innovate gameplay! Have not seen a game this original in a long time.
Poor thing.
Jump out of that sinking ship ASAP. PS3 is still going strong in the exclusive games race while Msoft is already gasping for breath.
I will definitely give impressions of Move + RE5 Gold as soon as I can!
I don't have much faith in Move's launch titles apart from Sports Champions and Tumble. Luckily I have RE5:Gold Edition which will be a joy to get all the trophies using Move!
Bubs+ for your recommendation! :)
This proves that Move table tennis is actually hardcore since it's the closest thing to actually playing the real thing. Seems more like a simulation than a casual game to me.
Unless SOMEONE from Microsoft's camp could step forward RIGHT NOW, and show me how Kinect could give an elegant solution for actually moving your player character in 3d space instead of relying ON-RAILS type gameplay, Kinect will forever be a failed concept in my eyes.
Stop daydreaming and wishful thinking about "potential", start WORKING for effective solutions.
Oh, BTW: Dr. Richard Marks >>>>>> Molyneux.
