Yes, The Fight is the most hardcore fighting game ever. Because you need real life stamina and a good punching technique to master it. You don't just flick your thumbs and fireballs come out of your a$$, your actual punches are replicated in-game instead. Amazing.

The game may lose points because of its gameplay design, it is not a perfect game. BUT the 1:1 motion tracking is flawless, which is why the majority of users love the game. People who do martial arts or boxing are crazy about it.

You know what, reviewers ain't ready for true 1:1 motion tracking with zero lag. 1:1 tracking means you need REAL SKILLS to actually play the game.

Fortunately, people who bought the game (me included) loves the 1:1 tracking. Check out www.amazon.com user reviews, most people give The Fight full 5 stars score.

My hit percentage in The Fight is anywhere between 78-86% for each match. Some skilled players are in the 85-90%. The game is accurate, people.

This is an example of HOW NOT TO PLAY The Fight:

1:1 motion tracking means if you flail around like a madman you're gonna look ridiculous in-game. LOL.

Yeah, after watching that clip I'm sold!

The RPG analogy works. You'll have to devote time to grinding your fighter's stats! It may be a silly game mechanic as it defeats the 1:1 motion tracking when you're new to the game. I understand why most reviewers gave up before they get to the good part.

The Move is the most capable solution for boxing games. EA better implement Move for their next Fight Night.

Oh, and I am definitely getting The Fight this month.

How do you define better?

Does Kinect have less lag than Move? No.
Does Kinect have more accuracy than move? No.
Is Kinect capable of 60 fps tracking? No, but the Move does.

And last:

Does Kinect have BUTTONS? NO.

In all the areas where hardcore games are concerned, the Move is a better product.

Lack of accuracy:

"Sonic Free Riders has difficulty recognizing degrees of movement, so it's nearly impossible to avoid obstacles in the road without slamming directly into a nearby wall."

Lag:

"The biggest problem is that there's a delay between your real-life movements and t...

In the future, a successor for Kinect might be able to track your whole body including fingers at 60 frames per second with zero glitches and minimal lag.

At present though, Kinect is a faulty motion control product. The lag is not minimal enough for serious hardcore games and the tracking glitches prevents it for being a serious contender to PS Move.

Nice interview. I have decided to get this game, I what the shortcomings are I can tolerate the quirks. Its a 60 fps boxing game with near 1:1 tracking. That's cool.

The iwaggle3d review was very informative. The 1:1 motion tracking is great, but the game mechanics are horrible.

I wonder if Sony would release a patch to enable your player to be transparent, and also to make sure you're always at the right distance to the opponent to minimize missed punches. I would buy the game with a proper patch for sure.

Hmmm how hard can it be to make a boxing game using two move controllers? The game only has to track each move controller as left and right fist. I tried doing punches in Start The Party demo, right after the first calibration where your move controller turns into a hand. The PSEYE has no problem tracking my punches 1:1 and I was doing fast jabs and all.

I mean, think about it. A boxing game simply has to track where the bulbs are (as your fists) in 3D space, something that a...

MS is definitely hiding something. Compare the humble confidence of Dr. Marks and Anton Mikhailov with their Move demos with Molyneux and Kudo Tsunoda's bombastic yet proofless claims about Kinect. Something is wrong in Kinect's camp.

Bubs for you Dude!

LMAO at Kudo's empty words.

I don't feel like clicking the source link. Does it show this finger tracking magic in video? Or just more talk with no proof?

Let's face it, the days of Xbox 360 coming up with bar-raising graphics are over ever since Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was released.

I was blown away with Gears of War, that game was the first bar-raising graphics on current consoles. Back then I wished every console developers were using Unreal Engine so that more games look as good as Gears (now I regret that wish).

Then of course Naughty Dog came up with Uncharted. The game was beautiful, it does m...

Fact is Gears 2 has very limited dynamic lighting.

Look at all the environments in Gears 2. All the shadows in the environments are PRE-BAKED. They're just textures. Fake.

Uncharted 2 environments cast REAL shadows.

Come to think of it, Gears 2 lighting is A JOKE. Character shadows move all around the place irrespective of lightsources. Flashlights in Gears 2 don't even produce shadows!

And how about character models?...

Bubs for you, my feelings exactly.

I still remember the discussions here when Alan Wake was about to release. Xbox fanboys were dead certain it was going to look better than Uncharted 2. And then of course the 540p issue came up, and the diehard fanboys was still in denial mode even when gameplay screenshots emerged showing blurry textures and washed out visuals.

Those were epic days...

There has never been a 360 game that has an all-around impressive graphical features as Uncharted 2.

- High-res multi-layered textures in amazing variety, very little texture repetitions compared to other games
- native 720p with no screen-tearing at consistent 30fps
- crazy environmental physics
- amazing real-time physics interactions between environments and characters (tumbling building scene)
- real-time, dynamic lightsources producing act...
