Well, Valve is also a developer, it's not the same. EA is a huge publishing powerhouse that owns half the gaming world on it's own. If EA was also a hardcore dev team and had few and far apart gems of games like Valve does and had it only on Origin to boost their service, that'd be fine. That's not the case though, they are merely the uber rich publishers of BF, and they are keeping it away from Steam to boost crappy Origin.

Hah, I'll just go there and play the free trials, and if I like it - buy it on Steam(unless it's one of the EA titles they keep only on Origin, cuz they suck and need the exclusivity to survive at all vs Steam).

Ahh man, so it is gonna be super linear like in all the gameplay shown so far. Moving along on the conveyer belt, shooting as you go. Well, we'll see what score it gets, and I'll decide if it's worth it based on that, visuals, and length of game. Hopefully, if this game goes over well and they start on something else right away - they consider going for a more open world gameplay style next time.

"People ask 'What is the gameplay like?' Well, we showed space battle and that's all that Star Citizen has. We've got a lot more than that, but that in itself is a lot of gameplay."

Did he just say that? All Star Citizen has is space battle? Do your research buddy.

Even though they were still greedy then, they didn't have the launchpad that Microsoft brought along with the huge push for $$$ DLC and DRM. Soon as it came along, Crapcom was right there for the ride. They are still one of the companies that have done the most DRM in their games from what I've seen. Until the whole issue with PSN going out for over a month and no one being able to play games like Bionic Commando. The SF4 for PC also caused issues with it's DRM, always affecting t...

Go f*ck yourself EA Boss. If DICE was trying to cram more in there, then EA should have given them more time when they obviously must have mentioned they needed it. I'm not one to defend the devs always, but in this case - it is clearly EA's fault for rushing it. DICE is known for great coding and an amazing engine. Their servers have always had annoying issues at times, but EA caused this buggy hell of a game to come out in BF4.

All I know is, Naughty Dog better be working on a next-gen Jak & Daxter.

Or find that source code and port it yourself. Not too many people going wild over PC exclusives right now, but Star Citizen should be a big one when it finally comes out.

Good luck building/porting those X1/PS4 exclusives over all by yourself.

@bggriffiths,

Yeah, I'd rather a SF5 also. Going into the next SF right now with their current mentality towards microtransactions and willingness to throw fair balanced gameplay out the window just to make an extra $$$, it could get messy. I can see it now, before the game even releases they'll start it up by having a pre-order bonus that gives you a 10% lifebar add-on.

LOL, I just realized I went on about SNK, but we're talking about Namco's Tekken. But I agree with you to an extent @ NoWayOut. I didn't play SF x Tekken, but it seemed the actual gameplay was done decent. What made the game do bad seems to be the idiotic greed of Crapcom to lock characters off the disc to make more money off them as $DLC and to add a 'pay-for-advantage' system with the gems and selling new $DLC gems. It's a horrible idea for a fighting game, and somet...

I thought Ground Zeroes was basically the demo.

I remember long ago the director being asked about the game, and him saying he wanted to just forget about it, lol. I think it was giving them trouble trying to develop. It's not surprising, seeing that their answer to the old Capcom vs SNK series was SvC Chaos, and it was clearly outclassed by Capcom's effort. I even like how Capcom did SNK characters moves better than SNK does them. I'm sure the game would've been crap anyhow, SNK does their own crazy roster fighters well, b...

It's nice to be excited about indies coming out every week, but most those indies have been on PC/Steam for a while already, or are releasing simultaneously on PC or whatever other platform. If you're gonna go crazy over indies, atleast let it be something amazing and that I can only play on PS4. Otherwise, why have a PS4 if I'm gonna be playing indies on it that I can play on my mid/low-range PC already? I don't like that answer to the question asking where the AAA exclusives...

Hopefully it's good, The NDS game was based on Zelda 2 gameplay and was pretty well made, just a little on the kiddy side and too easy.

Well, to be completely honest, there's only a few Crapcom IPs left that are worth playing anyways. They ruined Resident Evil, Devil May Cry is whatever now, Megaman is forgotten(until Mighty NO.9 does well and they decide to copycat and revive MM).

Monster Hunter, Dragon's Dogma maybe, and Street Fighter are among the few games they make that hold any quality standards still, and even that they're attempting to ruin with disc-locked content that they resell as day...

I just want them to allow us to copy everything properly to another internal HD that we want to install, so we don't have to re-download games and stuff after replacing the HDD like you can do on PS3. It would be nice if they could once and for all get the video recording to work 100% consistently, or much closer than it does now. Too many times it has no new recording when you hit 'share', though the last patch may have slightly increased the odds of it working.

To be honest, it doesn't make sense that such parity is what a dev would want. Sure, I understand them wanting everyone to have the same basic experience, but to specifically want this type of parity is more something a Publisher would push. Which brings me back to the point of how much I hated that Bungie went with Activision. Parity is obviously something worked out between the publisher and the console makers. So, I think Bungie is just saying what they have to say, I doubt if it was c...

"I don't understand this mindset of developers."

Yeah, I don't get it either. If they're so concerned about it being the same experience that they will purposely not use extra power of next gen to do anything else more they can to add to it - then why even upgrade it at all? Why not have it run at the same resolution as last gen and everything?

It's dumb as hell really, they're selling themselves short and lessening the impact of...
